"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Good evening and I would like to welcome everyone on Wing flight 82B. The time is 6:25 pm. The weather looks good and with the tailwind on our side, we are expecting to land in Kyoto for approximately 15 minutes ahead of schedule. The crew will be coming shortly to offer you light beverages and snacks. Thank you"
I said after we successfully took off. First officer Benedict beside me is offering me a cup of coffee.
"You look tense. Are you sure we are not about to crash, captain?" Pabirong sabi nya atsaka tumawa. Buti nalang at naka off na ang mic kung hindi baka nag panic na ang mga pasahero sa sinabi niyang iyon.
"Yes, I am. Thank you for asking, and for the coffee" sabi ko at humigop ng kape. I have to calm down. I don't want to swim in the ocean on our way to Japan.
Napansin kong hindi umiinom ng kape si Benedict. It's one of the rules. We can't share the same food or beverages just in case someone put poison in it.
"Love life ba yan?" tanong ni Benedict at nginuso ang rosas sa hawak ko parin sabay ngisi.
Kinilabutan nalang ako bigla
"How dare you throw this away?"
He said in a low voice as he handed me a white rose
I stared at the rose and saw that this one has thorns. Dang, he is mad.
"B-bakit ka n-nandito?" sa aking gulat hindi ko mapigilan na mautal. Compose yourself!
Ngumisi siya at napansin ko na biglang nanlamig ang paligid. Pakiramdam ko nasa Japan na ako kahit mamaya pa ang dating ko doon.
"Stuttering, I see. Do I have that effect on you?" he asked and chuckled evilly
Kinuha ko ang binibigay niyang rosas at maingat na hindi mahawakan ang mga tinik. Tatanungin ko ulit sana siya nang may tumawag sa aking likod
"Captain! The aircraft is ready"
Napalingon ako at itinatawag na ako ng isa sa mga staff. Nang humarap ulit ako para harapin ang si gray eyes ay nawala na siya.
Lutang akong pumunta sa cockpit at binati ang crew.

Nilapag ko na ang rosas malapit sa mug holder at nag focus sa biyahe. Nginitian ko na lamang itong si Benedict
"No, Benedict. I was just thinking of how I can tell your girlfriend you have been buying consoles behind her back" sabi ko sakanya at ako naman ang natawa.
Nanliit lamang ang mata niya sakin na parang hindi natuwa sa joke ko. Eto naman, ang kill Joy.
"Joke lang" sabi ko at baka magalit siya sakin. Mahirap na, baka maglabas ito bigla ng kutsilyo.
"Capt. Sol, how about I drive for the first half of the flight so you can go and rest? Just take lead for the second half." his offer was kind. Buti nalang at may mabait akong co-pilot
"Really? Pero may flight ka pa mamaya, okay lang saiyo?" Umiling lang siya at tumayo para siya naman ang umupo sa pilot's seat
"That's the point. makakapagpahinga na ako pag ikaw na ang nag pilot mamaya. Para dirediretso na ang higa ko bago ang next flight ko" sabi nya at kumindat. Lalo namang lumaki ang ngisi ko at tumayo
