Chest trobbing, Aku sat up after being unconcious for hours.
Pinakiramdaman niya ang mabigat niyang mga mata, so this is what waking up from a long sleep feels like?
Nang maalala na ni Aku kung nasaan siya at anong nangyari ay mabilis niyang sinuri ang paligid para hanapin si Sol. Nakita naman niya ito na nakaupo sa lapag, naka lean sa sofa na hinihigaan niya, at natutulog.
Aku can't help but to smile. Looking at the pretty baby sleeping beside him made all his pain feel ticklish.
Naguilty siya dahil nahiga siya sa sofa habang si Sol naman ay nasa lapag. Kaya binuhat niya ang natutulog na Sol at hiniga sa sofa, placing her head on top of his hip to purpose as her pillow.
Pagkatapos ay kinuha niya ang kumot na nagamit niya kanina at ipinatong kay Sol.
Beaming, Aku stared at Sol's flushed cheeks. Slightly poking it to feel how soft it is.
Angel indeed, Aku tought.
"Lucky asshat, aren't you?"
Napalingon si Aku nang makarinig siya ng boses sa di kalayuan. Nakita niyang naka-upo si S sa bar stool habang nakatitig din kay Sol.
Nanliit ang mga mata ni Aku. The hate he feels for him is mutual. But he dosen't forget how he helped a while ago.
"Seth" Bati ni Aku gamit ang pangalang pinili ni S.
"Aku" He greeted back with the same bitterness.
Napalingon ulit si Seth doon sa nakahiga sa hita ni Aku.
"Overprotective girl, that one. Hindi siya pumayag umalis sa tabi mo. Ni ayaw niya nga akong palapitin sayo" Seth said with obvious envy.
He then snarled. Aku knew it's more of Seth he's speaking to and less S.
"I'm starting to suspect she feels something for you. Pero makasarili ka at iiwanan mo lang din siya. You even denied her the truth, sayang at di mo nakita reaksyon ni Sol nung nalaman niya" Sabi ni Seth at ngumisi.
Aku felt his insides tighten and his feet weakened.
"You told her?"
Aku's voice was cold. Dahil nakainom ng ambrosia si S ay naramdaman niya ang paglamig ng paligid.
Ngumiti si Seth na nanga-asar kay Aku. "Ofcourse. I'm not as cruel as you"
Aku felt his muscels tighten as he slowly fall to the pit of despair. If he dosen't have a baby on his lap, he would've fought with S, right then, right there.
Mas lalo lang nainis si Aku nang maalalang ginamot siya ni S kanina. Kung kaya't may utang na loob siya sa Opaque na ito.
"Thanks" Aku said as quietly as possible.
Lalo lamang lumaki ang ngisi at ulo ni Seth.
He'll return the favor someday. For now, he buried all the fraustrations he's feeling and focused on Sol.
Tila biglang dumoble ang sakit ng kaniyang dibdib habang hinahaplos ang noo ni Sol. May kung anong mabigat sakanya na dahilan ng pagsikip ng kaniyang lalamunan.
Sorry. Aku wanted to tell Sol.
Sorry because he was selfish and used her. Sorry because he never explained.
Sorry because he will eventually leave her.
Napapikit si Aku saglit at hinalikan sa noo si Sol. Kaniyang nararamdaman lalo ang pagkabog ng nanghihina niyang puso.
