Haileys pov
"So are you nervous or anything" Rory asked as we drove to school "honestly I'm not sure" "did you tell Kyle" "yea he uh didn't take it well" "oh I'm sorry. I'm not sure why he gets jealous or how you put up with it" "it's a little annoying but it's because I like him. Anyways how's this thing with Benny" "it's fine. He's really good at sex but I don't see myself dating him" "I see you dating him. "Okay so for the project we are doing a model" I said to Isaac after he sat down "yea we're doing a chemical reaction. So the model is just the molecule, she gives us the chemical and we have to do the experiment and make a PowerPoint or something. It's pretty easy" he said as I sat there shocked "yea" "what" he asked "I just didn't think you would help or even read what we were supposed to" "why wouldn't I help" "I don't know you just didn't seem like you wanted to" "well it is my project too" "yea, sorry. I shouldn't have assumed that" "it's fine".

"I'll see you afterschool then" he said when the bell rang "yea see you then" I said heading to cheer.

"Kyle" I said reaching him as the last bell of the day rang "yea" "We haven't talked all day" "what do you want me to say Hailey" "look I'm sorry about this whole thing. I get why you would be mad but trust me okay" "okay I do babe really. I'm sorry" "it's okay. I have to go though he's probably at his car by now. I'll talk to you later" "of course. Okay talk to you later" he said as I kissed his cheek and rushed to the parking lot.

When I got to the car his friend got out opening the door for me as I got in the backseat.
"This is Ricky that's Dixie" he said "hi Ricky, Dixie" I said as she waved.
"So you're Hailey right" Ricky asked "yea" "okay cool". The ride was mostly silent. We dropped Ricky off and then went to his house.
"This is where you live, and I thought the house the party was at was huge" I said "yea I guess being the children of a mafia boss has its perks" Dixie said as Isaac parked. She got out as I waited for Isaac to open my door.

"Isaac honey you're dad would like to see you quickly" his mom said as I followed behind him "okay. This is Hailey, we have a science project. Just wait here for a second" he said to me before going upstairs.

"So Hailey you and Isaac are lab partners" "yea we have our first project due Friday. Thank you for allowing me to come over Mrs. Castellano and your home is beautiful" "thank you Hailey. So how's Isaac doing at this new school" "oh uh I'm sorry Isaac and I don't talk much out of science but as far as I know he's doing well" "oh well that's unfortunate you seem like a sweet girl" "thank you".

Isaacs pov
"Yes dad" "great you're home. I am told that Ricky and Olivia have been talking again" "they aren't talking. She's just been texting him a lot. He's told her they shouldn't be talking" "this could be bad if her fathers takes offense to it" "yes I know" "so can I trust you will have him handle this" "I will try, but if I can't" I asked "if you can't I understand but I expect you to deal with the consequences" "yes sir. I can't now though I have a guest downstairs" "a guest" "this girl Hailey. We have a science project due Friday but when she leaves I'll go over there" "okay then. I will be down to meet your classmate before she leaves" "yes sir" "you're excused" he said as I turned to leave.

Haileys pov
"Hailey we can go to the back" Isaac said as he came back down then I followed him to the backyard. "Wow this is amazing" I said examining it. The lawn was perfectly manicured, the pool clean and huge, on one side of it there was a guest house and on the other side, a deck with a fire pit and chairs.

We took out everything we needed and got started.
"What time do you think we'll be done today" I asked him "I don't know I guess whenever we decide to stop. Why" "my stepdad wanted to know what time he should be here" "for what" "to get me" "Hailey I'll take you home he doesn't have to come out here" "it's okay I don't want to bother you anymore" "I said I'm taking you home" "uh okay I'll text him" "okay".
"Do you want anything" he asked "I'll just have a drink" "Danielle" he said to a woman across the lawn before she rushed over to him "yes sir" "can you get us some drinks please" "yes sir" she said again but she didn't move.
"Danielle. Lets run this back for a second yea. I asked for drinks you said yes but you're still standing here" he said sternly "oh sorry sir" she said as if she forgot she was still here.
"You know she's scared of you" I told him "I don't know why" "well maybe cause you snap at her like that" "only because she does stuff like that. Can we get back to the project" "sure".
She came back with the drinks and we thanked her before she nodded and went back to what she was doing.
After almost three hours of working on it we decided to stop.
"You ready" he asked "yea" I said grabbing my bag and standing up.

"Are you finished already" his mom asked "yea" he answered her "well Hailey will you not stay for dinner it's almost finished" "I really should be getting home" "nonsense, come sit with us and Isaac will talk you home after" "are you sure ma'am I don't want to intrude" "you aren't trust me, everyone come sit" she said and we all went to the dining room.

"So Hailey what is this project you're working on" his dad asked me a little into dinner "were testing a chemical reaction and constructing the molecule we use" "and you will be here tomorrow" "yes sir if that's okay" "it is. Let me ask you, are you parents okay with you being over here" "yes sir they are and now that Isaac has offered to give me a ride it helps out my stepdad a lot so thank you" "stepdad" he asked "yes" "what happened to your dad" "he left me and mom a while back" "how old were you" "eight" "I'm sorry" "thank you sir".

"Thank you for dinner it was amazing" I said as Isaac and I got up to leave.

"I'm sorry about that" he said when he got in the car "no it's okay. The food was good and you're house is amazing and you're family is sweet" "yea".

"Here give me your number" I told him, giving him my phone as we pulled up to my house "yea sure. Do you want me to walk you to the door" "no I'm pretty sure your girlfriend would kill me if she heard you did something so caring for me" "wait what" "after you gave me a ride home from the party she threatened me and told me to watch myself" "oh" "would she actually do something" "uh yea but I'll tell her not to" "what the hell is that supposed to do" "she'll listen" he said getting out of the car.
"Goodnight Hailey" "goodnight Isaac and thank you for the ride again" "yea" he said as I walked to my house.

"Hey Sam, Michael" I said going inside "hey mom and dad are in the room" Michael said.

"Hey guys I'm home" I said knocking and after a few seconds mom opened it "how was it, are you okay" "yes they were very nice people and they're house was huge and the food was amazing" "nothing happened" "no mom and Isaac can bring me home tomorrow and Thursday so don't worry about it okay" "okay then" "well goodnight guys" I said to her and Derrick before leaving.

Isaacs pov
"Isaac come in" "thank you Mrs. Valero is Ricky here" "yes in his room".

"Ricky" I said knocking before he opened the door "yea".
"Listen, my dad knows about Olivia" "yea I know my dad told him" "so what are you gonna do, my dad wants us to handle this" "I don't know what I'm gonna do. I keep telling her to leave me alone but she won't" "okay. Why don't you go over there and talk to her father before he finds out from her" "go over there" "yes. Leo and I will come but if she tells him before you do she will spin it" "you're right. We'll go tomorrow morning then" "alright we leave at seven I'll have Henry come get Dixie and we're at school by nine" "alright" "I'll come get you" "okay. See you tomorrow" he said as I left.

I said bye to his mom and went back home.

"Dad" I said to him when I found him and mom in the living room "did you fix it" "we're going to fix it tomorrow" "how" "we're gonna go talk to him in the morning" "you're not going over there Isaac" mom said "telling him before she does is the only thing we can do. I'll be fine" "he's right. Just be careful son" "I will" "good. Now then goodnight" he said as he and mom walked pass me to their room then I went upstairs.

"Dixie" I said getting her attention as she looked up from her phone "yes" "you are going to school with Henry tomorrow" "why" "I have something to do" "what" "I have a uh meeting in the morning so I'll be late to school" "okay" "he'll be here at 730 be ready" "okay goodnight Isaac" "goodnight Dixie" I said closing her door before I went to my room to go to sleep.
