Haileys pov
"Hey I'm sorry I didn't really know what to say to him yesterday" Rory said as I got to her locker "it's fine I should've known that wouldn't work" "well how did it go did you talk" "uh we talked I kinda fucked everything up" "how" "I told him we should slow down and take a break" "take a break. Why didn't you just tell him what was bothering you" "I did sort of but Rory I still need time" "time for what" "just to think some things through" "Hailey-" "how are you Gio" I asked changing the subject before she sighed "uh fine. Noel and her mom are staying at his house" "really, for how long" "a week or two" "oh, is it bothering you" "I don't know a little maybe but I don't want to start a fight if he hasn't done anything I just told him that I trust him" she said "don't make this about me and Isaac please" "okay okay but I'm being serious. I told him I trust him and I'm really trying to but having his ex there for a couple of weeks puts me on edge. I don't want to be pushy or annoying though so I'll let him do his thing" "okay" "so you have that thing with Katie right" "yea after school I'm supposed to meet her and Elena at some boutique" "okay. The rest of the day was pretty normal. I saw Isaac in science but we didn't talk much.

"So I have that thing with Katie today" I told him as we walked to my car "oh yea. You're going to buy dresses right" "yea" "well here" "Isaac I can't take your card. I'll pay for it seriously" "Hailey if I'm still your boyfriend I'm gonna buy you things whether you like it or not. Just take it I'll get it tomorrow" "thank you" "of course" he said kissing my cheek before walking away.

"Hello Hailey" Katie said as I got inside "hey sorry I was late" "no worries" "have you found anything you like" "I've found a couple and Elenas trying on a dress now" "okay good" "the one she's trying on now has it in a size I think would fit you" "isn't she a bridesmaid" "yes and I was hoping you would be too" "oh" "I'm not forcing you but we'd really appreciate it" "um sure. Yea I could do that" "really oh thank you so much" so said hugging me as Elena came out.
"What do you think" she asked her mom standing in front of us in a pastel pink satin dress that reached the floor "oh it's beautiful. Hailey do you like it" "yea it's really nice" "okay great we'll find one in your size" "you said yes" Elena asked "yea" "yay" she exclaimed hugging me.

I tried on the dress and then we waited while Katie tried on probably ten more. She picked a white one with embroidered flowers across the top.

"Thank you for coming with us" she said as I put the dress in my car "of course thanks for asking me to be your bridesmaid" "I'm glad you said yes. We'll see you this weekend right" "yea. Bye" I said getting in my car and leaving.

Dixies pov
"I was thinking we cut tutoring short and go do something" Levi said as I was finishing a question "something like what" "I don't know but let's go" he said grabbing the books and I grabbed my bag and we left.

We drove to some parking lot and he parked in the back.
"What are we doing here" I asked "hanging out" he said before leaning over the middle and kissing me.
"Come here" he said pulling me to climb over the middle. I carefully went over to straddle his lap as his hands went to my hips.
I brought my face down to kiss him again before his fingertips went to the hemline of my skirt and I pulled away.
"I'm a virgin" I said quickly "you are" "yes" "people say you aren't" "well I'm pretty sure I'd know" "so you aren't gonna have sex with me" "no. We're not even dating and I don't want my first time to be in a car" "dating? Do you like me" "uh yea" "would you at least give me head" "what, no" "seriously" "yea. I don't even know if you like me and I don't just do that" "what the fuck. The only reason we're 'hanging out' is because people told me you were a slut" "so you just wanted to sleep with me. Can you just take me home and I'll ask Mr. Jameson to give me a new tutor" I said moving back to my seat and pulling my skirt down.
I stared out of the window the rest of the time, holding back the tears at the edge of my eyes.

"Hey what's wrong" Isaac asked as I got upstairs "nothing. Haileys not here is she" "no we're still sort of on a break and she had something to do" "okay" "why" "don't worry about it" I said going to my room as he followed me.

"Dixie what happened" he asked sitting on my bed as I went to my dresser "Isaac I don't really want to talk about it" "well I need to know you're gonna be okay so you're going to have to" "can I change" I said as he nodded and I went into the bathroom.
When I came out he was still in the same spot waiting for me to speak.

"Scoot over" he told me as I laid down and he laid with me "I had tutoring today and Levi and I kissed. I thought that meant he liked me too but he told me he thought we were gonna have sex because people kept telling him I was a slut" I told him leaning on his shoulder "so what movie do you want to watch" he asked as I looked up at him "what" "you said you didn't want to talk about it and all I asked is what was wrong so what do you want to watch" he said again, grabbing the remote off of the table and handing it to me.

"Remember we used to do this when we were younger" he asked as I searched for a movie "yea when you didn't have anything to do that night" "well I'll make sure to have nothing to do tonight" "thank you" "of course" "so what's this thing with Hailey" "I don't know. It seems like whatever I do I can't get her to trust me and maybe she's right too. Now she's not even sure if I'm good for her so I'll give her space" "you think she needs space" "I don't know what to think I'm just trying to do what she asks for" "I'm sorry. I guess we're both having a pretty rough night" "I guess".

I turned on a movie for us to watch and halfway through the first one, his phone buzzed.
"Do you have to go" I asked "no I said I was free. It's just Gio" "okay" I said.

Haileys pov
"Hey how was it" mom asked coming into my room "good, the dress is in the closet" I said as she walked towards it.
"It's beautiful" "yea and she asked me to be a bridesmaid" "she did. What did you say" "I said yes" "I bet they'd really appreciate that" "are you guys coming to the wedding" "are we invited" "I'm sure you are, Katie talked about it briefly" "I don't know we'll have to see" "okay" "are you okay sweetheart" "yea I am really" "I love you okay" "I know mom. I love you too" I said before kissed my forehead and left.

"Dad said we can get a dog" Sam said as I sat down for dinner "you did" I asked "I said if they got good grades we would think about getting a dog" "oh okay" "mom told me about you agreeing to be a bridesmaid" "oh yea" "how do you feel" "I don't know. It's weird but I didn't want to disappoint her" "you know you can take a step back from this wedding" "I know but they were so happy when they asked. I'll be fine" "you have a really pure heart Hailey but just remember if you're uncomfortable with anything you don't have to do it" "I know, thanks dad" I said smiling at him.
