Isaacs pov
"Hey" Ricky said as he and Leo got in the car "hey".

"How can I help you" the butler said opening the door "we're here to see Mr. Romano" "come in I will get him. I do ask that you place any weapons on the table before you proceed further into the house" he said as we unarmed and then followed him to a sitting room.

"Castellano, what can I do for you" he said sitting in front of us "we appreciate you giving us some of your time Mr. Romano. We would like to discuss a matter about your daughter" I said to him as he sat forward and paid more attention "what about her" "for some time now she has been reaching out to Ricky here and as many times as he reminds here they shouldn't be talking, she continues to do so" "my daughter Olivia" "yes sir" "let me see then" he said as Ricky gave him the phone. After about five minutes of him reading through the texts he gave the phone back and leaned against the back of the couch.
"I see, so you came here for what, to get my daughter in trouble" "no sir not at all. We just came here to clear the air and to cause no further rift between our families" "smart move then. Ricardo I have read messages, despite what she may tell me, there will be no target on your back from my family for this incident" "thank you sir" Ricky said as he we stood up, shook hands and he walked us to the door.
"Isaac you will go far in this business, you have the intelligence and you have the guts. It was nice seeing you again" "yes sir you too, thank you" I said before we got our stuff and left.

"Where did you learn how to talk like that anyways" Leo said "I've been doing this since I was ten Leo" "really" "well the talking things out part" "well you're good at it so I could see why" he said.

Haileys pov
"So how was it" Rory asked as I got in her car "it was actually good. He helped a lot more than I thought he was going to. Also his place is somehow bigger than the place the party was at" "what. How" "yea I don't know and I stayed for dinner and his parents are actually nice. His dad is a little intimidating but he's nice too" "wow you met the parents" she said nudging my arm "I didn't meet the parents Rory, I went to do a project and the parents were home" "yea sure. Well what else" "he drove me home and I told him his girlfriend threatened me and he said he'd tell her to stop" "he'd tell her to stop" she said, clear confusion in her voice "yea that's what I said but according to him, she will listen" "huh. Well for your sake I hope he's right because you're basically his new girlfriend" she teased "shut up Rory".

"Kyle hey" I said as he hugged me "hey how did your project go" "it's going pretty good we got a lot done yesterday" "that's good" "Yea and he's giving me rides home" "I thought Derrick was gonna pick you up" "yea but he offered and his mother insisted and besides it would be pretty out of the way for Derrick to come get me" "oh. Well when are you gonna come to my house" "well I can't for the rest of the week but after your game on Friday I'll come home with you" "okay deal" he said kissing me.

Isaacs pov
"Andrea you can't threaten people" I said as she walked by me on the way to lunch "what" "Hailey, you can't threaten her. Me and her aren't doing anything" "she told you I threatened her. She's lying" "bullshit I know she's not" "you believe her over me" "yes" "when did she tell you this anyways" "before I dropped her off" "from where" "my house" "she was at your house" "we had project. Andrea leave her alone" "why are you defending her" "I'm not defending her I'm telling you to get your shit together" "fine".

"Have you heard from Olivia again" I asked Ricky as I sat down "yea but I haven't answered" "okay" "I know we fixed it but I'm still sort of anxious about it" "Mr. Romano is a pretty genuine guy, he doesn't make empty threats or promises. If he says it he means it" "okay".

Haileys pov
When I got to his car he was already at the door and this time it was the passenger one.
"Dixie call me when you're ready to come home" he said as we pulled up to her friends house I was assuming "okay see you" she said as they got out and left.
"Who was that" I asked "Natalie" "they're close huh" "since they were four" "damn. Are you close with her" "yea. I look after her as much as I do Dixie" "that's sweet" "sort of" he said as we headed to his house.

"I want ice cream" I groaned sort of to myself after about an hour of working "come on then" "what. Come on where" "to see if we have ice cream" he said getting up and going inside as I followed him.
"We don't. Let's go" he said closing the freezer "where" "to the store. Keep up Hailey" "okay okay" I said as he grabbed his keys.
"Mom we're going to the store to uh get stuff for the project" he said as we walked by her then we left.
"You're not gonna open it" I asked as he walked around to his side "you can touch the door Hailey" he said and I noticed a small smile on lips.

When we got to the store he grabbed a cart and we started going to the freezer section.
"What kind do you want" "strawberry" "okay" "no cookie dough" "okay" "no wait sorry rocky road or mint chocolate chip" "Hailey" he said laughing a little "sorry uh" "we'll get them all" he said grabbing them and putting them in the cart. His smile was so bright and warm, only if he did it more often.

"Do you want anything else" he asked "cookies" "okay" "maybe fruit instead" "so both" he said smiling again "yea sure". We got the fruit and the cookies before we went to check out.

"I could pay its most of the stuff I asked for anyways" I said "it's all the stuff you asked for and I will pay for it" he said handing the cashier his card as she went to swipe it.

On our way back he pulled into a burger place.
"What are you doing" I asked "I'm hungry" he said as he parked "a burger" "not just any burger this is the best burger place in town" he told me "we have ice cream in your car" "yea I know I'm getting it to go, do you want one" "yea sure" we ordered and waited. Before they finished our orders he went to bathroom and I paid without him protesting.

"Already paid for them" I told him walking past him to leave "I would've paid" "you paid for the ice cream I paid for the food" I said smiling at him before we pulled off.

We put the ice cream in the freezer and then went to the back and got back to the project while we ate. We actually got pretty far before he suggested we get the ice cream.

"So today was fun, considering we barely did the project" I said as he gave me a bowl and sat down "we did a lot yesterday we're good on time" "okay. So did you ever talk to your girlfriend" "I did why, did she do anything" "no no, I was just asking" "what about your boyfriend he still doesn't like me huh" "what do you mean" "we have our elective together he just stares at me the whole time" "oh I didn't know you had a class together" "oh. So you do cheer" "yea" "are you good" "I like to think I am but I don't know" "well I'll see for myself on Friday then I guess" "you're coming to the game" "yea, if something doesn't come up" "something like 'business'" "yea" "so you never answered my question, have you ever killed someone" "no I haven't" "have you ever shot someone" "I'm probably not supposed to tell you this but yes I have" "more than one" I asked "more than one" "for what" "different things" "what's one" "uh some guy was touching my sister" "oh" "well what about you, what's the deal with your dad" "oh well, he was a drinker so him and my mom fought a lot. Then she said she wanted a divorce and he sort of lashed out on her. Before he left us he stole pretty much all of our money, he ended up going to jail for almost two years and I haven't really seen him since" "what do you mean haven't really" he asked "uh he comes around every so often or texts asking to see me" "oh. I'm sorry" "yea thanks. So this is a family business" I asked changing the subject back to him "yea. My grandfather would be known as the Don or the head boss, he lives in Venice and my dad is like the biggest boss in America. It's mainly a power thing" "oh, well Venice sounds nice" "it is" "uh I'm ready when you are" "yea we can go" he said getting up.

It was later than yesterday, almost 9.
"Thanks for today I'll see you tomorrow" I said getting out "goodnight Hailey" "goodnight Isaac" I said closing the door. Before I went inside I turned to see he was still waiting and only when I closed the door behind me did I hear him drive off.

"You're home late" mom said from the couch "it's not late just later than usual. We had to fix a few things which took some time. I'm sorry I should've called" "it's okay".

Isaac was so different today. He smiled and laughed and even let me touch the car. Maybe we were becoming friends.
