"Oh hey grandma" I said as she came in my room after dinner "hello sweetheart" "what's up" "well I talked to your dad, I was too harsh wasn't I" "no I get it. Mom and dad were the same way but then they met him. Well they met him in a regular situation not one where's he stressed and dealing with stuff. It was actually before we were dating, he brought me ice cream because I had just broke up with Kyle then he stayed for game night for a little while. He was sweet and nice and caring and fun. When we started dating he gave us no reason to doubt that he would keep me safe" "I understand, I worry about you guys and coming into it, of course it seemed reckless but like I said we're just coming into it" "yea. Me and Isaac are more than just a high school couple I feel it in my heart" "you love him" "yes" "okay, if you and your parents feel this is best for you then me and your grandfather have no reason to feel any other way" "thank you" "you're welcome sweetheart" she said hugging me before leaving.

The next day was the same, Donny followed me to school and Isaac met me at the door.
"So what time are you leaving" he asked me "after cheer like usual" "okay well I have to leave at lunch so I'll just send you the money before you leave" "thank you" "yea" "what do you have to do today anyways" "not sure actually my dad just wants me somewhere, then afterwards I'm going to Rikers with Gio" "to see Anthony" "yea" "oh okay" "well I'll see you before I leave okay" "yea okay".

"Ready Ror" I asked "yea come on" she said closing her locker before we walked out.
"Donny we're ready to leave" I told him "yes ma'am, by the way Mr. Castellano gave me the money he was supposed to send you" "okay, thank you" "you're welcome ma'am" he said before we continued to my car.

"Ma'am. So professional" Rory teased as we pulled off.

We walked around a few stores until we found dresses and Donny payed for them then we started walking to the food court as he followed close behind us.

"Hailey w-" Kyle started saying before Donny pulled Rory and I behind him "back up now" he said sternly as Kyle and Dylan did as he said quickly "Donny wait. He's- uh we know them, we go to school with them" I said as he stood down "sorry ma'am, I was given orders not to let people near you that I did not know" "from who" "Mr. Castellano" "Isaac" "no ma'am" "well I know them it's okay they're not gonna hurt me" "sorry about that ma'am" "it's okay" i said before he took a few steps back.
"Whos this guy" Kyle asked "long story, sorry about that though" "uh it's okay" "what's up" "nothing just was gonna see what you guys were doing here" "oh we just got some dresses for graduation so we're gonna go eat" "oh okay" "yea uh what are you guys doing" "I just got off of work but we're just walking around picking up a few things" "oh okay well uh we do have to leave soon and I'm sure he's tired of standing here so we're gonna go" "oh oh okay sure" "yea uh bye" I said before we left.

We got food and then found a table and Donny sat on the one next to us.
"So we graduate in few weeks" Rory said "yea I'm kinda nervous, but I'm excited. I mean we're going to OSU together" "yea we are" "you don't sound excited" "my parents are going on a cruise" "what when" "they're leaving the 20th" "we graduate on the 23rd" "I know" "so when will they be back" "the 25th" "Rory I'm sorry" "they said your parents will be there so that's more than enough support for me" "did you tell them how felt" "I said I was upset and my dad said I had no right to be and that them being there won't affect if I graduate or not" "he said that" "yup" "I'm sorry" "yea" "well they were right about one thing, my family will be there and your apart of that you know" "thank you Hailey" "of course".

"Hey dad" I said when I found him in the kitchen "hey honey" "is anyone here" "yea the boys are upstairs and grandma and grandpa are out back" "oh okay. Uh did you and mom decide if you're going to Tom and Katie's wedding" "yea we talked about it, we're gonna go" "really" "yea. If he's going to be in your life more we'd at least like to know who he is now" "okay. Thank you guys. I know after everything with him it's probably really hard for mom" "well we know it's not any easier for you. We're really proud of how strong you've grown to be Hailey" "thank you" "of course. Good with tacos tonight" "yea sure" "okay good" he said.
