Haileys pov
I grabbed the dress, my shoes, and a bag full of anything else I might need before going downstairs.
"I'm heading out mom" I said "okay hon we'll see you there" "okay, bye".

"Katie" I shouted as I got in the venue "Hailey, over here" "hey" "hey, glad you could make it early" "yea" "this is my sister Jessica, this is Hailey, Tom's daughter" "oh okay, nice to meet you" "nice to meet you too. Is there somewhere to put my stuff" "yes, honey can you show her to the back room" she told Elena "sure".

"So how's everything been" I asked her "pretty good, they've been talking about this nonstop so it's nice to see them happy about it" "yea I'm uh happy for them" "I'm glad you're okay with this" "yea" "so is your mom and Derrick coming" "yes they are they'll be here later" "I'm excited to meet them and your brothers" "my brothers aren't coming" "aw how come" "my mom just thinks it'll be easier without them" "oh okay" she said before my phone rang.

"Babe hey" I said to Isaac "hey what time is the wedding" "4 why" "because I might be a little late" "why" "something came up" "something like what" "I just have to go talk to somebody across town at 2" "babe" "Hails no later than 430 I swear" "Isaac 430" "430, I'll see you then" "okay be careful" "I will, bye" "bye" I said before he hung up. It was 1 so it wouldn't be long before his meeting.

"Everything okay" Elena asked "yea" "okay" "uh so what does your mom need us to do" "just finish setting up the tables then we can get ready" "okay cool come on".

///

After we finished getting ready we waited for Katie to finish too. By the time we had started getting ready, her mom Candace, had gotten there.
"Oh honey you look absolutely perfect" Candace said when Katie came out in her wedding dress "thank you mom". We all complimented her, rightfully so. She looked beautiful and I was happy for her but I couldn't help the small sting I still felt being at this wedding.

"Come in" Katie said as we all turned to the door "we're all ready out there. Can we have them start the music" "yea we're ready" she said before the man closed the door.

A few minutes later another man came in, I'm assuming her father, then the music started and we started leaving the room as we rehearsed, Elena, me, then Jessica, then Katie and her parents. We walked down the aisle and stood at the front. When I took my place I looked out in the crowd and Isaac was already there and I smiled a little bit. I looked away from him and over to Tom. He looked back at me smiling and I smiled back, genuinely, memories of when I was younger coming back to me. He then looked down the aisle, towards Katie and his smile grew.
Everyone's attention was focused on Katie and how beautiful she looked. I had to admit, they were really good for each other and they looked so happy.

The music stopped and the pastor started his speech.
"It was our third date. You told me your story and you told me who you were in confidence. Then you told me who you wanted to be and who you wished you were. By our sixth date I knew. I knew you were the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Ever since we had that talk that day you've been the man you promised you would be and I'm so grateful that you came into my and my daughters life. I love you more than anything and you make me the happiest woman ever and I can't wait to start this new chapter in my life with you" Katie said.
"I went through a very rough patch in my life and after what I'd been through I never thought I'd be able to be happy again. When you came into my life, you brought a light with you. You opened my heart to love again, you turned my life around. I will do everything I can to be the man you expect me to be and the man I promised to be. You gave me a second chance at a family and I am forever grateful to you. I love you more than words can describe and I will continue to prove that everyday of our new life together" Tom said.
