We woke up to Danielle peeking her head in the door.
"Sir breakfast is done" she said "thank you Danielle" he said before she left.

When we got down, Dixie was sitting at the table with Anna and Simon.
"It's almost 9 o'clock" he said "we thought you would all need a couple more hours to sleep after last night" Anna said "I'll be in the car" he said grabbing a water bottle and his keys "sweetheart breakfast" she said "not hungry" he said but I could tell that wasn't the problem.

"We'll see you inside" I told Dixie grabbing Isaacs arm as he reached for the door handle "okay talk to me" "about what" "Isaac I know something's been bothering you since you came back upstairs last night" "I'm fine" "you're not" "okay well I don't want to talk about it" "I don't like angry Isaac" "I'm not angry not with you at least" "so you're angry with someone" "yea but I don't want to talk about it. Babe I'm fine I swear" he said taking my face in his hand and kissing me "okay".

"Hey" I said when I got to Rory "hey, Gio told me about last night are you okay" "yea yea I'm fine" "is everyone okay" "yea no one got hurt. Isaacs upset about something and I have no idea what it is and I don't know how to cheer him up" "upset about something last night" "I think so but he won't say" "I'm sure he'll be fine aren't you going out today" "yea I want to buy some new swimsuits" "okay. He's always happy when you guys hang out" "yea I guess. Well did your parents say you could go" "my mom said sure my dad is out of town with his new girlfriend" "he got a new one" "yup, her name is Kelly and she is 25. They met while we were all out as a family isn't that some funny shit. My mom sat there while they flirted the entire time and pretended not to notice it was so pathetic" "what were you guys doing" "eating at a restaurant, she's a waitress" "I'm sorry Ror" "yea I don't care anymore. It's just annoying that he always makes me meet them like they're supposed to be my stepmothers" "do you ever tell him you don't want to meet them" "every time. He invites them to the house" "oh right. Well at least your moms letting you go" "yea I'd rather not be here when he gets back so that's good".

"Babe you ready" Isaac asked getting to my locker "yea. Uh I got a text from Tom asking if I could pick up Elena today" "yea sure, we're taking Dixie anyways" "okay then".

"Hey" Elena said getting in the car "hey, where are Tom and Katie" "looking for something I'm not really sure" "oh okay" "thanks for picking me up" "no problem" Isaac said.
"That's Dixie by the way" I said "hi" Dixie said smiling "hey".

When we got to the store I started looking around.
"Do you like this one" I asked Isaac showing him a red two piece "yes. You know which one I like" "yea" I asked as I continued looking "the one you wore in Rio" "okay. I'll pack it" I said knowing exactly which one he was talking about "good".
"What are you shopping for" Elena asked "we're going out of town" I said "yea to Lanai and I'm not allowed to come" Dixie said "calm down we're going somewhere this summer" "fine. Can we eat afterwards" "sure".

"I'm done" I told him as he followed me to the checkout and paid "okay we can go eat" he said grabbing the bag when the woman finished.
"Thank you" I said as we sat down "you're welcome".
"So Dixie you go to school with Hailey" Elena asked after Isaac got up to take a phone call "yea I do" "oh okay. Do you have a boyfriend" "uh I liked someone but then he thought I was slut so it didn't work out" Dixie said jokingly but still serious. She was good at making a joke out of something serious, that's how light hearted she was "oh sorry" "no need to be. Do you" "yea, we're actually pretty serious" "like you're not a virgin" "no" "oh. So what do you do like any sports or something" "not really. I used to play softball for a select team but when my parents got divorced my mom stopped paying for it. You" "uh no sports it was never really my thing. I do piano, violin, and the flute. I shop and I go to parties but other than that nothing. I'm going to get my permit next week and when I pass dad said he'll buy me a car" "he's buying you a car just because you get a permit" "well I'm almost sixteen so it's more of a birthday present" "wow for my birthday present I'm definitely not getting a car but everyone can't be spoiled" "Elena" "I've been called spoiled before. It didn't phase me then and its not phasing me now. So what, my dad gets me stuff" she said. Dixie knew how to hurt someone with words and I meant that literally. Her tone had no attitude or malice in it but I could tell what she said threw Elena off.
