Isaacs pov
The sound of the door slamming shut woke me up and I slowly lifted my head out of my hands.
"Ms. Oliver is awake" the detective said "okay" "you're free to go" "so what happened" "her boyfriend did it" "so I can go we're done" "for now. There will be more cases" he said as I stood up "don't threaten me detective" I said before walking out.
Dad was at the front desk waiting for me then we left.
"Can we stop at the hospital. I'd like to see Sydney" I asked "yea".
I looked at my phone, it was after 1 in the morning and I was tired but I had to talk to her.

"Sydney Oliver" I asked the nurse behind the desk "sir visiting hours are over" "I don't care. I need to see her" "are you family" "yes" "I'm not even sure if she's awake" "I still need to see her" "uh follow me then" she said getting up.

"Isaac, I'm sorry" Sydney said turning to me as the nurse left "who is this boyfriend" "he's not a boyfriend I just-" "Syd" "he was paying me" "for what" "I did things for him" "like" "whatever he wanted. I slept with him. He came over unexpectedly that's why I needed you to come get Jack" "he was in the house" "yes. After you left I tried to tell him who you were but he didn't like that I had a boyfriend" "so he hit you" "I'm sorry" "not sorry. Look at you. And if you don't want my help at least move in with your parents. Haven't you been talking to the more" "I could ask them" "thank you" "yea" "I'm gonna bring Jack by before school" "you're going to school" "yea I told Hailey I'd see her there" "I'm sorry Isaac for getting you arrested" "it's okay nothing happened and I'm fine" "thank you" "we're family remember" I said as she smiled at me "I'll see you later then go get some rest" "you too Syd, love you" "love you too Isaac" she said before I left.

"Oh thank god" mom said from the couch as she got up to hug me "I'm okay mom just tired" "you don't want anything" "no not right now" "okay then goodnight" "goodnight guys".

"Hey I didn't think you'd still be up" I said as I stood in Dixies doorway "yea I wanted to wait for you. Are you okay" "yes I am" "good I was worried" "I'm sorry. Is Jack sleep" "yea he's in your room" "okay" "Goodnight Isaac" "goodnight" I said going to my room.

I showered and changed before I slowly got in the bed.
"Uncle Isaac" Jack said lowly "yea it's me buddy" I said before he moved closer to me and I put my arm around him before he went back to sleep and soon after so did I.

"Isaac hon, are you going to school today" mom asked waking me up "yea what time is it" "7" "okay. I'm getting up thank you" "are you gonna take Jack or do you want me to" "no I'm gonna take him" "okay" she said before leaving.

I woke up Jack up and we both got ready.
"Dixie are you gonna come with me" I asked "uh can you drop me off at Natalies" "yea sure come on" "thanks".

"Have a good day at school Jack, bye guys" she said before getting out of the car.

"Jack we're gonna stop at the doctors to see your mom for a little bit" "we are" "yea just for a few minutes" "okay".

"Mommy" he said running over to her "hey buddy how are you" "good. What happened to you" "I just got a little hurt but I'll be okay. Uncle Isaacs gonna take you to school and I'll pick you up" "you will" "yes, I promise" "okay" "have a good day I'll see you later" "okay" he said kissing her and saying bye before we left.
I got jack something to eat then I dropped him off.

Haileys pov
"Isaac here yet" Rory asked "no it's only third period so I'm not too worried yet" "okay. So how's your mom been" "good. She's not really talking much about it" "well has your dad called since" "nope" "well that's good isn't it" "yea I guess" "hey it's gonna be okay" "thanks".

It was finally lunch and I went to my locker to put up my books before I was hugged from behind.
"Hey I missed you" I said turning to Isaac "I missed you too" "everything okay" "yea I took Jack to see his mom and then to daycare so that's why I was late" "what time did you get home" "after 2" "so did they tell you what happened" "yea it was whoever was at her house. She was sleeping with someone for money. After Jack and I left he did that to her" he said as we started walking "oh my god so do they have him" "I think they're still looking for him. He left the hospital a little while after he got there and they don't know where he went" "oh. Well how are you" "I'm okay a little tired" "yea I bet. I've been meaning to ask you what do you want to do for winter break" "what do mean" "the week before Christmas we should do something" "like go somewhere" "yea if you want to" "yea I do. Where do you want to go" "I don't know. Well wait can you leave" "why wouldn't I be able to leave" he asked looking over at me "I don't know don't you have meetings or something" "I'll always have meetings or something" "so don't you have to attend them" "I'm the best to do it without it turning into a gun fight but I could always just send someone. You're more important to me so if you want to go somewhere we will" "you sure" "yes I'm sure" "okay then, thank you" "of course. I'll see you after lunch then" "okay" I said kissing him before going to sit with Rory and Jackson.

"Hey hon how was school" mom asked "good" "did Isaac make it" "yea by lunch" "that's good" "yea. So we were talking and since winter break is coming up soon we were thinking about going somewhere" "you and Isaac" "yea I think so" "oh okay" "well could I" "yea sure. Just let me know" "I will" "hey also do you think you could help Michael with a project" "sure when's it due" "Monday" "okay yea. Is he here" "he's at practice but you can start with him tomorrow" "okay cool" I said before going upstairs.

Rorys pov
"Hey Veronica, how was school" mom said as I got inside "hey, uh good" "your father is in the room" "so" "so maybe you want to say hey to him" "not really" "well, we are going out to dinner" "when" "tomorrow" "for what" "just because your father wants to treat us to dinner" "yea sure" "what is that supposed to mean" "he wants to keep you happy since he is a lying cheating dick head but okay" "Veronica don't talk about your father like that" "whatever" I said before going upstairs.
