Haileys pov
Kyle and I have been dating for almost two weeks now and it's going a lot better than I expected. He still asks me about the people I talk to but he never gets angry about it unless someone hits on me.
He always asks why I haven't switched partners for science and honestly I don't know. Whenever we have projects to take home we do it as his house or we meet somewhere. We don't talk about anything but the project and when we're finished I leave. We don't talk in class either. His expression with me went back to the stoic emotionless one, he never smiled he never frowned he never questioned he was never amused, nothing but maybe that's how I wanted it.

"So is Kyle coming to the party with us" Rory asked "yea he is" "okay" "you're still not okay with this" I asked her "I just don't want to see you hurt" "if you don't want to see me hurt why do you keep pushing Isaac" "I just think there's more to it. Forget Isaac though, I just don't know if Kyle's right for you" "he's changed, he's actually showing me that" "okay Hailey. Then if you're happy I won't push you" "thank you".

Isaacs pov
"Can you just come you need this and Tess is coming" Gio said "why would I want to go to a party" "because they're fun and there's drinks and there's girls and god I need to get laid" "fine I'll go just so Tess isn't stuck with you all night" "that's what I thought".

When we got there the house was packed and I regretted being here. We got drinks and walked around and about twenty minutes later Tess came.
"Hey" Gio yelled to her over the music "hey. So this is your new school" "yea" "all the guys are very touchy" "they touched you" he asked "chill it wasn't serious".
Drink after drink I felt myself getting more and more drunk and I knew I was gonna have a horrible hangover in the morning.

Haileys pov
"Hey baby" Kyle said kissing me when he met up with me and Rory "hey" "hi Rory" "yea hi Kyle" she said taking a gulp of her drink. It was going to be a pretty long night.

We danced and walked around seeing people and I waited with Rory while Kyle played some drinking game.
It was packed but I found myself looking for someone. I had seen Gio and Leo and Ricky but not him. A few more minutes later his game was over and we went to the kitchen to get drinks and there he was, with Tess. Isaac only ever came to parties with his girlfriends, did that mean they were together or something.
He had his arm around her shoulder so casually but I couldn't tell if it was friend casual or we've been dating for a while casual. Now looking at her she was stunning. Her black straight hair fell to her shoulders in a bob cut and her body was flawless. She had curves in all the right places and not an ounce of fat on her. Her personality was a kicker too she fit in with Isaac and Gio and Ricky so perfectly and her laugh was infectious.
She joked around with Leo and Gio, but never actually leaving Isaacs side.

He looked over at me and with a seconds hesitation I looked away from him. When I glanced back he was looking at the way I was with Kyle. His hands were on my hips and my back was towards him. Our closeness pretty much saying all Isaac needed to know, we were together.
Tess looked up at him then followed his gaze to me then said something to refocus his attention to her. Was she that against him even looking at me, she really needed all of his attention 24/7. He took a step forward to the island refilling his cup before he returned to his position next to her.

Tess' pov
I knew he was heartbroken and there she was with her ex. He's never been this torn over a girl. I could see why she was upset but how can she be mad when he didn't do it. I knew he wouldn't stop drinking anytime soon so I stopped, only taking a few sips from the cup I had.

"Are you ready to go" I asked him "we're waiting for Gio" "we're not waiting for Gio. Gio is getting laid and you're drunk off your ass" "I'm not drunk" "Isaac you're more than drunk and this party isn't doing you any good" "fine" he said putting his arm over my shoulder as I grabbed his hand and his waist doing my best to stabilize him but damn he was huge. A shaky five minutes later I finally got him to the passenger seat of my car.

Haileys pov
They walked out hand in hand and I assumed they were going back to his house for the night, because of course he would get laid. Now that we weren't dating he was the exact person that guy told me he would be and maybe he was like that the entire time.

Tess' pov
When we got back to his house, no one was in the living room or anything so I just helped him upstairs and to his bathroom since he'd have to throw up eventually.

I went in Dixies room and grabbed a pair of shorts then went in Isaacs room and grabbed a tshirt so I could change out of this dress. As soon I finished I heard him vomit before I went downstairs for some water.

"Why is she with him" he asked when I came back and sat on the edge of the tub "she's hurt Isaac you have to understand that" "I understand that but I didn't hurt her" "she's going with what she knows, like a fail safe" "a fail safe" "yea. Her ex is safe and not a risk and if she loses him she won't be as hurt, she'll be able to move on without worrying about what he's doing" "you think she's doing that with me" "yea. I saw you two at the banquet and at Christmas Eve, she misses you at least even if she is mad at you. When a girl says she's moving on it doesn't mean she has it just mean she's trying to show you she doesn't need you but that's not true" "if she misses me and needs me why won't she believe me" "because you're a risk. I know for a fact it's not easy for her to give up every instinct she knows and date someone with the life you have. It doesn't mean she won't just that she doesn't want to get hurt when that was a possibility the whole time" "I just don't know what to do to make her trust me" "I know and honestly, unless whoever did do this comes clean you might have to start over with her and that's if she considers giving you a chance" "so it's all a big if" "I'm sorry Isaac" I said as he drank the water and nodded.

He got off of the floor slowly walking back to his room taking off his shirt and jeans before getting in the bed. He fell asleep almost immediately and I sat on the end turning on the tv.

Haileys pov
"Babe can we go" I said to Kyle "yea. We can go back to my house" "sure. Rory were gonna head out okay" "okay I'll see you later" she said kissing my cheek before Kyle and I left. He was drunk and I was tired so I really didn't want to have sex tonight I just wasn't feeling it.

When we got inside his parents were sleep so we went up to his room.
He closed the door behind him grabbing my wrist and turning me to him before he smashed his lips on mine. I kissed him for a few minutes before pulling away for air.

"I want you tonight baby" he said "Kyle I'm tired and I don't think I'm up for it" "come on, trust me once we start you won't want to stop" "well I don't want to start" "Hailey we've been dating for two weeks and haven't had sex" "is that all you want" "no of course not but I miss you" he said pushing me onto the bed and climbing on top of me "Kyle stop please" "come on baby let me just feel you, open your legs for me" "Kyle stop seriously, you're drunk" I said pushing him off of me and sitting up "so when then" "I don't know honestly".
I just wasn't ready. The thought of someone else besides Isaac inside of me made want to throw up for some reason. I didn't want to feel anyone else. The fact that he probably wasn't thinking the same about me was heartbreaking but what did I expect when I got with him.
