Haileys pov
Derrick and I said our goodbyes to everyone before we got in the car and left. I had school and Derrick had work but mom could move around her schedule and the boys were in daycare basically, so they were coming back Wednesday.

"We're home" Derrick said tapping me awake as we pulled up "okay".

"Welcome home" a voice said as we walked in and Derrick rushed to turn on the lights.

"Who the fuck are you and what are you doing here" he asked "wait you're that guy" I said immediately noticing him from the banquet after party as the guy that told me all that shit about Isaac "yea" he said pulling a gun out of his pants.

"Come here" he said to me as Derrick grabbed my arm and he pointed the gun at him.
"Don't make me shoot you, come here and you stay there" he said to me again and I walked over to him.
He turned my back to him and wrapped his left arm around my shoulders and chest while his right arm held the gun loosely towards me.

"You stay there. I'm really not here for either of you" he said "so what do you want" Derrick asked but I knew "Isaac" I asked "exactly, so call him tell him to get over here as fast as possible, alone" he said and I gasped as I felt his hand in my back pocket, grabbing my phone and handing it to me.
"It's almost 1 in the morning" I said "he'll come, at least for your sake I hope he does".

"Hello" he said and I could tell he just woke up "Isaac" I said gulping. My heart was beating so fast and so loud and I was shaking.
"Hailey what's wrong" "can you come please as fast as you can and alone" "what happened" "Isaac" "coming" he said hanging up.

"Good. He'll be a while so why don't we sit" he said pulling me to a couch with the gun still on me.
"Other couch" he told Derrick as he moved to sit by me.

Ten minutes later we heard a car door close and he stood us up back to our original positions before Isaac came through the door.
"Put it down, I know you have it" he said as Isaac sat the gun on the floor "Harley, what do you want" he said and it all clicked. Harleys been fucking with Isaac since I've known him, no wonder I would be next.

"You know, the usual" he said to Isaac "how did you get here" "some boy told me, Kyle is it" "leave them alone, if you want to kill me do it already" "wouldn't be as fun and it'd cause too many problems" "so what's the fucking game" "simple really, either I kill her or you kill him. She is either dead or she hates you" "which ever I choose you'll leave" "yea" "if I kill him you won't touch her" "yea" "Harley" "Isaac I'm a man of my word. You do it and I'll leave" he said before Isaac quickly ended up behind Derrick, holding him in a chokehold.

"Isaac wait please" I sobbed as I continued to cry "I can't let him hurt you Hailey" "Isaac you're not a killer don't let him make you one please. Don't do this. Don't hurt him please" I begged and cried but his expression didn't change, he had made up his mind.
"Isaac if you do this I will hate you for the rest of my life please" "I'm sorry" he said before telling Derrick not to struggle and then he began choking him. A minute later Isaacs grip loosened and he softly laid Derrick on the floor.

"Back the fuck up" Harley told Isaac as he put his hands up and took a few steps back. Harley bent down holding his fingers to his neck before he chuckled.
"You really did it, I guess she brings out a new side of you" he said before standing and leaving as I fell beside him crying.
Isaac walked to the window looking to make sure Harley left then locking the door and coming over to me.
"Hailey-" "fuck you, get the fuck out" "Hailey listen to me" "no actually you listen to me for once I never want to see you again I don't want to hear from you or anything get the fuck out" I screamed in his face before he grabbed my shoulders "Hailey shut up for a second please" he said catching me off guard.
"I didn't kill him" he said putting his fingers on Derricks neck for a few seconds before he sprang back to life gasping for air and I jumped into his arms.
"I- I thought he was dead. Harley checked" "I just stopped his heart enough to where his pulse couldn't be found like that" he said before I hugged him too "thank you" I said.

"Dad, are you okay" I asked "you shouldn't talk it'll hurt for a while, you should probably get some rest" Isaac said lifting him and helping him to the room.

We went to sit on the couch as he pulled me into his arms.
"Are you okay" he asked me "yea, a little shaken up maybe but I'm fine" "you want something, tea water" "I'll have tea but I can get it" "no just sit" he said kissing the side of my head and getting up.

"Hailey you should really think about this" he said after pulling a blanket over my shoulders "think about what" "if you want this. You don't need this, me" "how could you say that when all I've ever told you is that I needed you" "I almost got you killed tonight" "no you didn't" "I know you were just trying to get me to stop but what you said I know you meant, if something ever happened to your family because of me I couldn't live with the fact that'd you hate me" "Isaac I didn't mean that, I couldn't hate you for something that wasn't your fault" "Hailey I just want to protect you and if it means losing you then I'll have to deal with that but I don't want to force you to stay and then you get hurt" "I know you want to protect me and that's why I love you but you don't have to lose me" "are you sure" "of course I am. I'm fine, Derricks fine. Thanks to you. Just stay with me tonight okay" "yea" "and I should tell you" "what" "he's the guy from the party" "after the banquet" "yes" "okay" "okay" I repeated "what do you want me to say" "what are you gonna do" "I'll talk to my dad" "okay" I said not wanting to bother him about it anymore.
"Can we go upstairs I'm kind of tired" I asked "yea sure" he said as I moved to get up. When my first foot hit the ground he swept me off my feet carrying me bridal style to the room.

We laid there and eventually I fell asleep.

When I woke up I was clenching his tshirt in my fists while he slept.

"Babe, it's time to get up" I told him shaking him awake "are you going to school" "yea I don't see why I wouldn't" "are you okay" "yes babe please stop asking" "I'm sorry I just wanted to make sure" "well how did you sleep" "alright it took a while to get to sleep" "why" "I was waiting for you to go to sleep then you woke up twice I just wanted to make sure you were okay" "oh I don't remember that I'm sorry" "it's fine I'm good" he said before we got up.

"I'll see you later okay" he said kissing me as we got inside "okay".

"Hey what's up" Rory said "uh nothing just had a long night" "what happened" "remember I told you about that guy from the party that told me that shit about Isaac" "yea" "when Derrick and I got home he was in the house. Turns out it's the same guy that Isaac has had problems with since even before we met. Just a lot of shit happened. Isaac had to kill Derrick then he wasn't dead then we didn't break up" "when you meant long night you weren't kidding you sound insane" "ugh I'm definitely tired" "so everything's okay" "yea it is" "good. Well how was your trip" "good. How are you and Gio" "good, we're actually going out tonight" "oh cute. Where" "uh dinner with his parents" "wow" "yea" "haven't you met them before" "I mean yea but rarely both at once and I just have to pass them to get to his room" "you'll do fine" "I've never 'met' a boyfriends parent" "well you're gonna do great, they'll love you" "yea I hope so. Was it weird when you met Isaacs parents" "well technically I never really met them when we started dating. I met them when we had our science project and we were only friends so I wasn't nervous or anything. When we started dating our families had dinner together" "well that must've been nice and stress free" "well I was pretty stressed out when I had to meet his grandfather, that was hell but it went really good" "true I just hope they like me" "well they will don't worry".
