Haileys pov
Monday, Kyle picked me up for school and then we met up with Rory and Jackson. For the most part, Kyle got along with them but I knew he'd much rather be with his teammates.
"You can go babe I'll see you later" I told him "okay yea" he said kissing me quickly before he went over to a few of his teammates.

"Okay thank god he's gone I have so many questions" Jackson said "about what" "don't act clueless. About you getting a ride home from the transfer and him being in the fucking mafia. Hailey what the fuck" "Rory you told him already" "I actually told quite a few people was I not supposed to" "I don't know but what if he hears" "what you think he'd kill you" Jackson asked "no but it doesn't help when a mafia member is angry at you does it. Besides what if it gets back to Kyle" "oh I forgot about that. I'm sorry Hailey" Rory said "uggh it's fine. If he asks about it I'm just gonna tell him the truth. It's not like something happened or we're friends" "what's that mean" Jackson asked "it means he an ass and he's rude. I just don't like him" "oh" he said as the bell rang then we went to class.

Isaacs pov
"Isaac" Andrea said catching up to me on the way to lunch "what" "what's this about some girl knowing you're in the mafia and getting a ride from you" "I gave a girl a ride home after your party, I almost hit her with my car it was the least I could do" "the least you could've done Isaac was let her keep walking" "nothing happened calm down" "is this what you were busy with when I called you" "yes I was waiting for her friend to get there" "Isaac you have a girlfriend" "yea I know don't ware it out" "if you don't want to be with me, I don't need to be with you" "okay" I said calmly. As I've said many times I didn't really care besides she does this all the time it was really starting to get old. She tried threatening me with a breakup and when I dismissed her she took it all back.
"Isaac were not breaking up just I want you to tell me stuff like you gave a girl a ride home at 1 in the morning" and there it was "okay, nothing happened damn just drop it already" "okay" she said.

Haileys pov
"So basically everyone knows that he gave me a ride to your house" I said to Rory as people passed us whispering about it "uh yup looks like it. I'm sorry" "it's fine really I'm just dreading Kyle asking me about it" "but y'all didn't do anything right" "no but he still gets jealous pretty easily" "yea I get it".

"Hailey is it" some girl said sitting in front of me, she was one of the transfers "yea, you are" "Andrea, Isaacs girlfriend" "oh. Can I help you" "he's my boyfriend stay away from him, who do you think you are making him give you a ride at one in the morning and then telling everyone we're in the mafia" "I didn't make him give me a ride, your boyfriend almost hit me with his car and technically I didn't tell everyone" "well maybe he should've hit you. Watch yourself" she said before going back to their table.

"Now I see how she puts up with him, she's fucking worse" I said rolling my eyes "yea that was pretty intense" Jackson said "yea it uh sounded like a threat I would be careful" "well lucky for her I don't like her boyfriend at all, I don't see us being friends anytime soon" I said.

It did seem like a threat but I wasn't interested in proving it was. When I got to science I made extra effort not to even glance at him.

"So how was science with him" "fine. Nothing happens in science we don't talk" I was saying to Rory as Kyle walked towards us.

"Rory do you mind if we talk for a minute" he said "uh nope. See you in the locker room" she said leaving.

"Hailey you do know why I'm talking to you" "uh yea" "you got a ride from that transfer at 1 in the morning and just didn't tell me" "trust me nothing happened at all" "then why wouldn't you tell me" "because I thought you'd be upset" "that my girlfriend is getting rides from other guys, especially one in the fucking mafia yea a little" "we're not even friends. He was rude and he's an ass, you really have nothing to worry about" "he was rude to you what did he say" "i think he just has an attitude I don't think it had anything to do with me" "he still shouldn't have been rude to you" "yea but I'm fine. Just forget about him" "okay just next time can you tell me" "yes I'm sorry" I said kissing and hugging him.

Isaacs pov
"Mr. Castellano, stay for a second" Mrs. Riley, the science teacher said as I started leaving "yea" "so your science partner is not comfortable working with you. He says you are intimidating so I have switched your partners" "great cause he was annoying. So who is it" "Hailey Anderson will be your new lab partner. She's smart and I'm sure she can put up with you" "okay" "great I need you to take this note to her from me" "right now" I asked "yes right now" "well where is she" "cheer practice. In the gym, here" she said handing me a piece of paper before I left.

Haileys pov
"Hailey" the voice said and I froze as everyone turned towards him "yea" I said "come here for a second" he said as the rest of the squad started whispering. I was nervous for some reason and my hands were sweating as I went over to him.
"Yea Isaac" "Mrs. Riley wanted me to give you this" "what is it" "it's a note. We're lab partners now" he said after handing me the note "what" I asked in disbelief looking up at him "yea I'm not too thrilled about it either" "why" "apparently my old lab partner thought I was intimidating" "oh I wonder why" I said sarcastically "well you can go back to what you were doing I just had to give you this" "okay. Well uh thanks" I said as he turned to leave.

"What did he say" Rory asked as everyone listened "nothing he was telling me something for science. Can we just get back to it".

I was his new lab partner, just my fucking luck. I was going to have to tell Kyle too, uggh I hated this.

Afterschool I walked to the parking lot with Rory but Kyle was going to take me home.

"So what was that paper he gave you" Rory asked "a note from Mrs. Riley saying that I am his new lab partner" "his what, well this is going to be interesting" "no it's not it's going to suck" "well uh there is Kyle and why don't I just see you tomorrow" "bye Rory" I said as she walked away.

"Hey babe how was class" he said "it was good. I actually should tell you something" "what's up" he said before we both got in the car.

"Okay so remember that transfer I got a ride from, Isaac" "yea did he do something" "no. Uh Mrs. Riley made me his new lab partner" "oh. Well I can't be mad or anything, I'm not mad but I guess if you have a project you'll be spending time with him" "sometimes yea" "huh okay. I don't trust that guy or any of his friends but I guess if it's for a project only" "yea. So you're not mad or anything" "no I'm not. Thanks for telling me though" "yea".

"Thanks babe I'll call you later" I told him as he pulled up to my house "okay" he said before I went inside. I wasn't sure if he was mad but he didn't seem all good about it, but in all honesty I knew he wouldn't.

"Hey mom" "hey Hailey how was school" "it was okay" I told her before going upstairs.

I've told her about getting new transfers but only that we had them and not much else. Not that they were mafia members or that I got a ride from one or that now one of them was my lab partner.
