Surprise and More Pups

Thanks to CaitLeaming  for helping with this chapter...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Dad went out to get pizza around ten minutes ago for dinner while Lucille and I just chilled together. Lucille and I were sitting on the couch with my legs on top of her with my head on her shoulder and we mainly talked about what would happen when the baby comes and girly stuff in general. Suddenly Lucille pushed my legs off of hers and stood shaking her empty Coke can and she turned asking, “I’m getting another Coke you want one.” I nodded, “yes please.” She disappeared around the corner and she let out a scream. I rushed into the kitchen and through the glass door I saw Zeus, Blaze, and Salem sitting out on the deck. Lucille looked petrified at the three wolves sitting there I put my hand on her shoulder, “hey hey no it’s okay they’re my pups.” I told her attempting to calm her down I walked over and let them in and they came in warily staring at Lucille as I welcomed them I motioned for Lucille to come over and I grabbed her hand putting in front of Blaze’s nose and he nudged her hand causing her to smile as she continued to pet him Blaze rolled over with his belly in the air while Salem laid down by her side laying her head in her lap and I smiled, “wow mom they seem to really like you.” I said this right as the door opened who I assumed to be my dad with the pizza as Lucille didn’t say anything my face fell and I stuttered, “I-I-I’m sorry it just-” my cheeks burned in embarrassment as I looked down playing with the loose threads on my jeans, but Lucille brought me into a hug, “hey it’s okay I’m happy to be your mom if you want me to be?” tears welled up in my eyes and I nodded just then my dad came and wrapped his arms around us both, “look at my took girls bonding.” I smiled leaning my head on his shoulder. Suddenly there was a knock on the confusing me as I didn’t think we would have any guests and my dad seemed to think the same thing, but Lucille got up and rushed to the door with me following my mouth dropped in shock as I saw Steven there I ran over and hugged him, “what are you doing here?” from behind me I heard my mom say, “well I remember how much you said he helped you and that you liked him so I thought I’d surprise you.” I chuckled at her, “thanks mom you definitely surprised me.” I looked over at my dad and he seemed to be sizing him up adding some tension to the situation so I cleared my throat and said, “uh come one in Steven.” he smiled stepping into the house, “you’re much prettier than the photos just so you know.” my cheeks burned red and I looked down, “thanks.” he chuckled at me and saw the wolves in the corner and they growled as they saw his arm around me and for a moment I saw a smile on my dad face when he heard this making me narrow my eyes at him. I summoned my pups over and had them inspect him to see if he was any harm and they laid on the grab in front of him asking for belly rubs and he gladly obliged I saw my dad roll his eyes so I walked over, “can I talk to you in the other room please.” he sighed following me and when we walked into the next room I went off, “what the hell is wrong with you why are you acting like this?” he furrowed his brows, “what are you talking about sweetheart?” I scoffed, “really now you’re gonna play dumb stop being an ass towards Steven he did nothing to deserve it.” he sighed running a hand over his face, “okay fine maybe I was a little overboard, but he has to prove himself worthy of my daughter first.” I rolled my eyes, “really that’s what this is about.” I chuckled, “don’t worry even if he likes me like that he probably doesn’t he has a fiance so don’t worry about it.” he sighed bringing me into a hug, “fine I’ll play nice just for you.” I smiled and walked back into the dining room, “okay who’s ready for dinner.” and I laughed as I saw mom already eating some pizza and she looked up at me and I started laughing, “well I know who’s hungry.” she blushed and I sat next to her grabbing some pizza for Steven and I slid it over to him as he sat next to me and then I grabbed some for my dad who was still looking over Steven and I sent him a look causing him to stop and I slid him his plate than finally I grabbed some for myself and we made small talk and I decided to ask, “so how’s your fiance Steven?” he looked down, “we called it off deciding we’re just not ready yet, but we’re gonna remain friends.” I nodded apologizing, “sorry I shouldn’t have asked.” he shook his head suddenly I saw Salem’s ears constantly twitching and she started nudging my knee which was uncommon for her to act like this and she started walking so I decided to follow her to find out what was happening and I looked behind me and saw mom, dad, and Steven following us and suddenly a short distance away I recognized the whine of small wolf pups and I ran over and took off my jacket letting out a shiver as the cold air bit at my skin I wrapped the pups up in my jacket and started heading back to the house.
