Chapter 13 - 'One last time'

Day 53

After that night we kept doing it again and again. Izuku didn't question me or fought it, he just played along every time I kissed him in the privacy of our rooms. It was really nice even if I found myself wondering what that made of the two of us. Sure, he didn't seem too bothered about the kisses and acted like everything was as it used to be, but they were nothing more than a few pecks after all, I never took it too far.

Still, I wondered how long that would be going on before he figured out that there was something completely wrong in all of it.

Iida greeted me as soon as I stepped into class, he seemed in a really good mood, but I didn't question him about it. I reached for my desk to find Ashido and Hagakure sitting on my desk chatting with Yaoyorozu and Jiro. It was unusual but I wouldn't say weird, I saw them interact a lot in the common room lately.

"Good morning..."

"Good morning Todoroki" - Yaoyorozu said smiling followed by Jiro who sat on her desk and Hagakure a few second later.

" 'Morning! How are you?" - Ashido said while swinging her legs back and forth.

"I'm fine, thank you. Why are you sitting on my desk?"

Hagakure quickly jumped off my desk giggling while Ashido smiled and shrugged.

"We were gossiping" - she simply said not bothering to move.

I let my bag fall to the ground with a sigh and sat on my chair giving Yaoyorozu a glance as I already decided to just let them do as they pleased.

"Wanna join?" - Ashido asked excitedly clapping her hands.

I sighed and gave her an eye roll. I didn't care at all, but it sounded better than being left to my own thoughts: I was so tired of always thinking about Izuku or how much my life sucked.

"What's the big scoop?" - I said with a sigh.

That earned me a confused look from both Yaoyorozu and Jiro while Ashido gasped shocked.

"What is it? She's sitting on my desk and won't leave until Mr Aizawa shows up, I might as well hear what got you all so excited..." - I said watching Yaoyorozu and Jiro trying to suppress a laugh.

"I like this new version of you Todoroki!" - Ashido said shifting a bit to be able to face me with less struggle.

"Yeah, me too! It's nice to have you talk with us!" - Hagakure said leaning against Ashido.

"Thanks? You are not that bad as well, I guess?" - I mumbled not sure what to say. They all laughed making a few of our classmates look our way with confused expression. I guess it was expected for people to be surprised that I was talking with them, I didn't interact much with anyone except Yaoyorozu, Izuku and Iida.

"You have a long way to go with socialization" - Jiro said trying to calm down.

"Anyway!" - Ashido said clapping her hand in excitement - "Rumors has it that Bakugō and Kiri are dating!"

I stared at them unfazed for a moment before I switched my attention to Izuku, quickly waving at him when I saw him walking into class looking my way with a smile.

"I told you I saw them chatting alone holding hands!" - Hagakure whispered-yelled at her friend recalling my attention.

"I believe you but just because they were holding hands doesn't mean they're a thing!" - Ashido sighed. She had a point. Izuku and I held hands a lot when we were alone, but we weren't dating, unfortunately we were nothing more than friends.
