Chapter 39 - Boyfriend

DAY 426

I missed that feeling, the one that only him could give me. There weren't any other arms that could make me feel at peace and shut the thoughts is my head completely. We could have laid there forever, and I wouldn't have minded. I would have stayed in those arms each day till the end of time, just listening to his heartbeat lulling me to sleep.
It wasn't much, but right then I felt like his arms around me, were the only thing keeping me together; every piece of me finally seemed back to its place, only because he was there. I knew that the moment he'd let go of me I'd be falling to pieces again and my mind would go back to being a mess, but I tried to ignore it and just focused on the warmth of his body and his sweet scent. That must have been what happiness was supposed to feel like, or at least that's how I decided to call the feeling being with him gave me. Even if it was going to hurt, I selfishly decided that I wasn't going to deny myself of that until I was gone.

"Sho, I'm going back to my room..." - he said, and I could feel one of his hands brushing the hair out of my face. I groaned annoyed because I was so close to finally fall asleep with no thoughts in my head for the first time in months.

"Stay the night" - I said sighing opening my eyes to glance at him. He smiled sadly and placed a stand of hair behind my ear.

"I can't Sho, we hanged together all day and I still have to finish my homework" - he said with a sigh sitting up.

"I'll let you copy mine" - I mumbled not paying much attention. I was half asleep anyway and my eyes closed again as my arm still hung loosely around his waist.

"You didn't do them either Shōto..."- he laughed trying to get out of my arms making me tighten my grip. I groaned and opened my eyes to look at him slightly annoyed by all his moving around. He smiled and sighed lightly caressing my cheek.

"Do you really need to? I don't want you to leave and...it's just schoolwork, the teacher won't kill you for skipping them once." - I whined looking up at him.

"Don't pout! You don't want to hear Present Mic screaming at me first thing in the morning, right?" - he questioned.

The thought wasn't really pleasing and it made me groan, but instead of letting him go, I just pulled him back down next to me.

"I'll make yours as well..." - he said laughing, he was clearly trying to buy my consent, but he was miserably failing because I couldn't care a damn about assignments when I could just have him in my arms. Izuku seemed to understand that there was no way I was letting him leave anytime soon and started to play with my hair in silence.

"What about I stay until you fall asleep?" - he asked just above a whisper.

"I hate the idea, but you'll do it anyway..." - I sighed snuggling closer. The last thing I could feel were his lips on my forehead.

DAY 427

I opened my eyes slowly, the sound of my alarm ringing in my ears. Although I didn't want to move at all, I had to force myself to move around at least enough to grab my phone and turn off my alarm before I'd go deaf, or worse, Sero or Satō showed up at my door complaining.
I laid back down once that damned object stopped ringing, but when I noticed how cold my futon was, I couldn't help but sigh. Even though he told me that he was going to leave once I fell asleep, I honestly wished he'd fall asleep as well and that I would have the chance to wake up in his arms this morning.
