Chapter 7 - Back to Black

Day 28

"What the hell are you doing here half-n-half bastard!?" - Bakugō screamed glaring at me. Well, if this isn't a great way to start the day.

"Kacchan, don't be rude!" - Midoriya scolded him earning a scoff from that angry idiot. He definitely needed to be checked for those angry issues of his before he actually killed someone.

Even though Bakugō seemed ready to kill me, he didn't say anything else, he just scoffed and started walking to school quickly followed by Midoriya who was most likely talking about something All Might's related.
It looked like they did this every morning, so I guess walking to school together was come kind of habit for them. I silently followed, slightly uncomfortable as I felt left out.
It was awkward and it was probably because of what happened earlier in the morning. I don't know how that happened, but at some point during the night Midoriya and I ended up cuddling and even if waking up to Midoriya's cute face as I held his warm body into my arms was amazing, that probably made things awkward between us.
Borrowing foundation from his mother just made it even more awkward. Thankfully, it was the same tone of my skin.
Grabbing my phone from my school bag, I decided to switch it on just to see a bunch of missed calls and texts from my sister. Knowing I couldn't call her and argue over the phone in front of the two of them, I sent her a quick text to tell her that I was okay and I just slept at a friend's house and I was heading to school. I was going to have to deal with two screaming people when I'd get home after school. That bothered me a lot, but I had no other choice than go home and deal with whatever my old man was going to throw at me.

The rest of the walk was quite silent but not too uncomfortable for me.
When we finally got into class, Bakugō was quickly taken away by an overly excited Kirishima who put an arm around his shoulder talking loudly of god knows what.
It was odd how Bakugō never hit him, he got pissed so easily that I considered a miracle the fact that the read head was still alive.

"Deku-kun!" - Uraraka's voice recalled my attention as she launches herself into Midoriya's arms making him giggle.
"I missed you" - she added before kissing him on the lips. My heart clenched at the sight of their lips touching but I didn't make a sound, nor I dared to look away. I had to get used to it somehow.

"Come on, don't be silly! It's been less than 24 hours!" - he said as she grabbed his hand and dragged him to his desk after giving me a quick glance.

'Well, I become invisible quickly.'

I slowly made my way to my seat and greeted Yaoyorozu who smiled back at me. We made small talks till Aizawa showed up, then we just focused on the lecture, even though I must admit that I spent most of the time spacing out and glancing at Midoriya: he seemed to be all I could look at.

Time skip

"Sitting on your own again Todoroki?" - Yaoyorozu asked sitting next to me. I just shrugged and kept eating my lunch, more like nibbling to be honest.

"Why you're not sitting with Midoriya and Iida today?" - she asked warily.

"I thought you already asked, and I already answered this question once."

"Indeed, but that was last week. You and Midoriya seemed on good terms this morning. I heard that Bakugō told Kiri you crushed at Midoriya's house for the night. I figured you'd be joining them for lunch."

"Does anyone mind their own business in this class?" - I asked annoyed meeting her stare. She laughed it off, then smiled at me. What was so interesting about my doings?

"Apparently not. So, why are you sitting alone again?" - she pushed again.

"Uraraka" - I spat, not knowing what else to add. It was really simple, we liked the same guy and she probably figured out and since then, she had been staring at me the whole time and whenever I tried to talk to Midoriya she was suddenly by his side talking, touching and kissing him. I wasn't sure if she was somehow marking her territory like an animal or if she just wanted to piss me off.

"What about her?"

"She doesn't seem to want me anywhere around Midoriya. She keeps shooting draggers at me."

"Well, maybe you should be a bit less obvious about liking her boyfriend." - Momo chuckled glancing at Midoriya's table.

"What did you just say?"

"You made it pretty obvious Todoroki and I'm sure most of the class has figured out that you like him by now. Except Midoriya of course, he's clueless when it comes to this kind of things."

"I don't like him" - I spat nervously making it hard for her to keep from laughing.

"Sure Todoroki, and Mineta isn't a perv."

We kept silent for a few moments. Was I that obvious that everyone knew I liked him? Did everyone figure out that I'm gay? My old man was going to kill me the moment he found out.
I wondered if they were willing to keep it a secret or if they were going to expose me.

Yaoyorozu gave me a smile and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't worry, I won't utter a word." - she reassured me. I nodded and mumble a thank you before turning to gaze at my food.

"I'm sure no one will" - she said, then she started to eat her food in silence.

Glancing at Midoriya, I met Uraraka's eyes. She looked pissed as she rested her head on Midoriya's shoulder looking my way. I chose to just ignore her and turned my attention back to my food once again, even though I was not hungry anymore.
