Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me...
Oh, and I rush to the start,
running in circles, chasing our tails
coming back as we are....

Chapter 35 - How bad I loved you

DAY 410

"How are you going to survive this project?" - Miyako asked as she sat on the couch across from Momo and I.
I was exhausted and, as usual, my only wish was to go to bed, even though I knew that as soon as I laid down in my futon, I'd most likely be unable to fall asleep. Either way, they wanted to chitchat for bit after dinner and I was forced to sit on that couch against my will once again. It wasn't really late, even though I always had dinner after everyone else; I adjusted all my schedule just to reduce to a minimum the chances of being around Midoriya, that involved having breakfast earlier and dinner later. To be honest I would have gladly skipped both but if I didn't show up at all Momo, Miyako or Jirō would come knocking on my door and drag me to eat something; it wouldn't have surprised me if they'd shove food down my throat. Some days their presence was a bother to me, especially when I had a really bad day, but I didn't seem to find the strength to push them away completely. Honestly, I couldn't remember the last time I had a good day, every day felt infinite and left me even more drained of energy if possible.

Anyway, Present Mic gave us some kind of project to do and I honestly had no clue on what it was about since I paid him zero attention. The only certainty of the day was that I ended up paired with Bakugō, not the best thing but better than being stuck with Mineta, Uraraka or even worse, with Midoriya. Hopefully Bakugō would just tell me what to do and discharge the project in a day or two of work.

"It's just Bakugō..." - I mumbled tiredly as I let my head fall backwards onto the back of the couch. To be honest it was almost a blessing to be paired with him: he was one of the ones with the best grades in class beside Momo and Iida, and I seriously needed a good grade in this project; my GPA had dropped drastically compared to the previous year.

"He might explode your face" - Miyako said with a little smirk making Jirō laugh.

"Could have been worse: I've got to work with Uraraka, literally the last person I'd work with..." - Momo said with a sigh resting her head against my shoulder. I tensed for second before taking a deep breath and relaxing, I was still not used to her being that close and trying to get used to the affection; and although I didn't really bother about it, everyone in class seemed to notice and have something to say about it.

"I honestly don't envy you at all. I'd probably kill her if I had to spend even a single minute with that bitch." - Miyako scoffed getting more comfortable.

"Same, I'd rather do every project with Kaminari until the end of high school than work with her." - Jirō laughed.

"How is Kaminari any bad? He's a funny idiot!" - Miyako asked.

"He's not bad per se, he just has a really low attention level. I'll probably just end up doing all the work on my own while his mind wonders to God knows what." - Jirō said with a little shrug. Both Momo and Miyako laughed. Even if I honestly never paid much attention to the class dynamics and usually minded my own business, I was pretty sure that Kaminari was the clown of the class and everyone enjoyed it.

"Hey Icyhot!" - Bakugō screamed entering the common room. I glanced his way slightly annoyed that he kept calling me with stupid nicknames instead of my actual name. I honestly felt the urge to get up and leave the room without a word when I noticed Midoriya tailing behind him with Kirishima. I guess he felt the same way by the way he stopped in his track and looked away.
