7: Drama

Apparently there was so much drama at the drama club the next day that Els's apology hardly made it to center stage.

"Are we even going to do anything?" You asked Pina. "I'm starting to think that this is just a social club..."

"Isn't it?" Pina tilted his head towards you. "If anything, I think I can get some new tail..."

"You perv!" You laughed. "I can see why the girls love you, but how do they deal with that rotten personality?!"

"I never let them stay long enough to see it!" Pina laughed back with you, although it was all quite true. If you had learned anything about the Dall Sheep, it was how much of a womanizer he was. "Although... I had this sexy little dwarf rabbit the other day and believe me... I wouldn't mind seeing that tail a few more times."

"Ew, stop being gross!" You laughed and covered your fangs.

"U-um, YN?" Els' voice quietly sidled into your sensitive ears.

"Yes, Els?" Your face swiftly turned to be inches from hers, causing the angora goat to jump back.

"I-I wanted to apologize for what I said yesterday. I was upset... about Tem... but that's no excuse. It was wrong of me to say anything about carnivores. Even if you're an omnivore, I'm sure it hurt your feelings too..." She bowed deeply. "I will be more careful in the future."

"Aw, thanks, Els." You hugged her tightly. "I appreciate that a lot. Thanks for apologizing! I know you didn't mean it anyway..."

BAM

"DON'T LOOK AT ME!" An angry voice screamed.

You jumped and held Els tighter.

"Eep! Too hard!" She squirmed.

"Oh. Sorry, Els!" You dropped her carefully. "What's his problem?"

"That's Kai..." She whispered. "Sheila was just saying he got kicked out of the actor's pool and put into the stage crew..."

"Ah." You shook your head. "What am I in? Or Pina?"

Her face was flat for a minute before Ellen joined in.

"Nothing until after this performance. It's too late to give you a part right now, but we don't know if either of you has great acting talent." She explained matter-of-factly.

"I'm sure I'll be an actor!" Pina flipped his wool back.

"I'm sure you will be too." You snickered. "You have a flair for the dramatic."

Pina's eyes narrowed but his mouth indicated a playfulness.

"As for you, our omnivorous friend, I bet you'll end up doing choreography like Ellen. You've got impressive reflexes." Pina continued, dramatically.

"I could see that! You should definitely audition with Ellen next time!" Els cheered.

"I'm not bad, but I don't think I have any special talent for it," you rubbed the back of your head. "I'm really just here to hang out with my friends. It doesn't matter to me what I do. I like being helpful."

Pina chuckled and put an arm around your shoulders.

"Our ever self-sacrificing maned wolf." He cooed. "Never asks for anything for herself."

"Ah, well, actually... I was wondering if any of you could tell me more about Legoshi..."

Pina's eyes sparkled and the girls moved closer.

"Does our little omni-baby..." He continued, "have a CRUSH?!"
