16: Leave Me Alone

"Hey! How come I have to go with you?" Kibi asked Legoshi.

"They'll be terrified if a wolf shows up alone, out of the blue and asks them to hand over their roses..."

Their voices faded away as they got further and further away.

Dom turned towards you.

"Oh. My. God." he fluttered his feathers. "The CHEMISTRY!!!"

"Will anyone leave me alone about this?!" You sighed and buried your head in your hands.

"He couldn't stop looking at you!"

"No!" You blushed furiously. "He was looking at Tem's costume."

"Say that as much as you want..." Fudge made a goofy face, "But I saw the way his eyes devoured you."

"Legoshi doesn't even feel that way about girls, guys." Kai came to your rescue. "Think of all the hotties that he's blatantly ignored. I think he's asexual, or something. Not interested."

"I don't want to talk about him!!" You stood up and made a noise of exasperation.

"About Legoshi?" Bill's voice floated over top of you. "Is that why you haven't visited?"

"Augh!" You threw your hands up. "Everyone leave me alone!"

Bill burst out into raucous laughter and slung an arm around you.

"We can't do that! Especially now we know how flustered you get." He brought you over to Els and Pina. "It seems the whole drama club is getting invested in your little wolfy's secret desires." Pina laughed wildly with Bill as Els patted your back. Now that the whole kerfuffle from the day Tem died was in the past, you saw that this tiger was actually friends with your friends. And you trusted him more for that. "Oh, YN, I do have a question though." Bill looked pointedly at Pina. "Do you... have any stripes?"

A knowing look was passed between the two herbivores, while you scrunched your forehead up. "Uh, no? Maned wolves aren't striped. Most Canids aren't striped..." You shook your head at him.

"Really? Huh. I didn't know." Bill a hand under his chin. "Anyway though, wanna come to Panthera room? Rehersal's over and me, Tao and Sheila are all headed back there."

"Or, you could hang out with us," Els interrupted, knowing what was going on. "We're going back to the Ungulate room, Pina and I..."

"She hangs out with you two all the time!" Bill complained with a smile. "C'mon. Let me have her."

A worried look was shared between them. "I'll visit Bill so he'll leave me alone. Then I'll stop by your dorms, sound good?" You compromised quickly, trying to leave the situation behind.

"Then it's settled. To Panthera room we go!" Bill swept you off your feet and plopped you on his shoulders.

"NGH!" You gulped. "I'm so high up!"

"That's the fun of large carnivores, my tiny wolfy." Bill smirked. "Now watch how fast I can run to the room." And with a blast of air, Bill launched himself.
