61: Love Shack

"I didn't know how prejudice hotels were out here..." You mentioned as you read another NO MIXED SPECIES COUPLES sign. You were running out of options. The last hotel that wasn't extremely expensive was the last one you wanted to go to.

A l-love hotel?! Legoshi's body shivered. Nooooo...

"L-Look, YN,  I think I should sleep outside... You should go into that hotel by yourself..."

"Huh, why?"

"Well, you spent most of the day being captive to a bunch of apex predators... I can't imagine you're past that trauma yet..." Plus, I'm dying to get rid of the smell on you. "So, I don't think you should spend the night sleeping with me..."

"But you saved me. I'm not scared of you. You burst into a Shishigumi hideout, took out a majority of the lions and saved me... what are you nervous about now?"

"I-I'm just scared." He stood up straight and his eyes rolled back in his head. "I... don't know how to say this... but I'm kind of in alpha male mode right now... so spending the night with you is... well... something might happen... Especially, you smell--"

"Oh, that's fine. It's just you, Legoshi. You're like my pack, remember?" You gave him a smile that hardly reached up to your eyes. Legoshi's brows knitted together. Is this... is this how she felt when I said that? He was sadder than he thought he would be. Pack is super important to wolves... but I know it isn't to her... "Come on, Legoshi, the vending machine already spit out the key. I'm sure that you're exhausted."

That was true. He was exhausted. His body, although maybe prepared for such an event, had not anticipated it. Even with the meal, he still had numerous injuries.

You closed the door behind Legoshi as you sat down on the bed.

"U-Um, I'm going to wash your jacket. Let me wash your clothes too..." You turned around. "I won't look, just hand them to me and I'll go to the sink..."

"U-UHH" Legoshi's mind raced at the thought of being undressed with you, just as yours did. "C-Can I talk with you first?"

"It really can't wait until we're both clean?" You shook a hand behind your back expecting clothes.

"I mean, I don't know if I'll be b-brave enough for long..."

"I'll sit in the bathroom, you sit on the other side of the door." You offered. "We can talk through that... modestly..."

With a sigh, he agreed. Pulling off his undershirt, pants and underpants, he handed the pile to you.

"I'm sure it burns your nose..." He hid his body parts, even though you were already running to the bathroom.

"No... It's the smell of you. It's not bad at all... compared to what I have smelled today..."

The door was pushed closed a bit and Legoshi sat down on the room-facing side.

"So..." He began as the water ran, stopped and then swished around. "I... I realized something today... before I went to find you..."

"Y-Yeah?" You sat on the other side of the door, completely undressed as well.

"I don't love Haru." He breathed out. "It's you. I love you."
