"Midge, Zora, I'm heading out for a walk. Either of you want to come?" You asked your two roommates.

"I'm good." Midge shrugged. "Gotta study."

"I'll walk you outside, but I'm meeting someone..." Zora blushed.

"Girlfriend~" Midge teased.

"Shut up!" Zora snapped.

You smiled and took her up on the offer to walk together outside. Bill hadn't been right in his first assessment of you. It wasn't that you didn't have any carnivore friends, it's just that they weren't your main friend group. And whose fault was that? No one's! Els was just the first person to reach out to you. If Bill was so concerned about you, he could have reached out first.

As you vented to Zora, she shook her head sympathetically.

"It's not like he doesn't have herbivore friends, either." She mentioned. "He's always with that short-nosed anteater. And you better not make him feel uncomfortable! Bill's protective as hell over him. Must be a carnivore thing." She shrugged. "Bring protective, that is."

"Are you going to meet an herbivore or a carnivore?" You asked. "If you don't mind sharing..."

Zora sighed.

"A carnivore. I'm not trying to persuade you one way or another, but when it comes to actual relationships, it's super weird if a meat-eating animal dates an herbivore. It's like... fetish-y. When you see like, a grizzly bear kissing a bunny... it's just unnatural. But I try not to judge. You like who you like..." Zora blushed a bit. "I know that pretty well..."

You had a deep, thinking face on.

"Interesting... Okay, well good luck with your someone, Zora! I'll see you later." With a smile and a wave, you were off to your favorite place to relax; the fountain.

It was a place with a lot of smells and good scenery. Whenever you needed to think or not think, it was the first place that came to mind. And normally, it was empty.

But not today.

Your nose twitched as a familiar scent rushed into your nostrils.

It's Legoshi... Your brain went a little fuzzy and you decided to hide in the flower bushes rather than proceed to your normal bench.

Not wanting to admit it, the smell of Legoshi was really, really good. Better than most smells. You were, however, hard pressed to admit a crush on the large wolf.

It was too late to visit the male Panthera room, but you had planned to take Bill up on his offer sooner rather than later. For the moment, you simply enjoyed the scent in the air, not bothering to wonder what he was doing out so late in your area.

I smell an herbivore. Your eyes opened suddenly. Close by. Small.

It would have been a lie if you said your stomach didn't grumble just a bit. Days had passed since your last carnivore meal and small herbivores were what you might have hunted in your primitive days. Before you could focus on the thought however, you saw with your enhanced eyesight, Legoshi acting strangely.

He had dropped to all fours, sniffing furious and crawling.

Does he... is he hunting?! You thought worriedly. What do I do? What if he hurts them? I can't stop him very well, but I have fangs. I could try... I could stop him if he goes too far...

Suddenly, the small herbivore took off, triggering Legoshi's primal instincts and nearly your own.

Oh no. You thought, chest beating crazily. He caught it. He's... He's a predator... I need to... I want to... join him...
