35: Gossip

"Pina, I swear to God if this is gossip about you-know-who, I'm hanging up right now." You didn't even know why you picked up the phone. You were hanging out with your friends and trying to get Cherryton off your mind.

"I better say it fast then," Pina snickered. "San heard from Louis that Legoshi practically walked in Louis and Haru having sex. Louis denied it, obviously, but I don't think Legoshi fell for it entirely. Just saying a certain relationship might not be a viable as we thought. And it's too bad you're not coming to the meteor festival..."

"I'm happy I'm gone." You asserted. "Here, my friends don't bother me like you guys do!"

"I mean, we kind of do!" Reza teased back. "Don't you remember when we insisted that you date my older brother? Still not a bad option... Cherryton seems like a place full of prejudice pricks."

"Cherryton is a place full of prejudice pricks." Pina laughed. "But also a lot of of prejudiced pussies who are looking for some time to kill."

You shook your head, Pina and Reza would have been great friends.

"Whatever, if that's all you have to report, then cool and thanks and see you later."

"Wait! And Sheila told Ellen and Els who obviously told me that Legoshi was dancing with Juno shirtless way early in the morning before practice."

"Whyyyy would I want to hear that? What part of 'I don't care who he dates' are you not getting? The I part? The he part? The not caring part? Please, help me understand so I can explain better."

"Sheila said he didn't look guilty at all, but Juno looked furious. I'm just reporting that your mans isn't taken. That's all! Bye!!" Pina made a kiss noise and hung up.

"This is what I deal with daily. From everyone." You put the phone down and shook your head.

"Why do you keep bothering her, Pina?" Els asked. "Most people would think that you like her..."

"If I liked her, I would have also told her that Kai heard from the Hyena Legoshi lives with that Jack found bunny porn in Legoshi's bed." Pina snapped. "I just hate how this is going for her and I don't have anything better to do anyway, so how about you let me call our friend. Do you even miss her?"

Pina let out a deep breath, all the fight taken out of him. "Yeah... I get it. Are we still going to the Meteor festival together? Place a candle together?"
