62: The Climax (Not Like That)

Your lip quivered, your eyes watered, your breathing became rapid.

"Take it back." You whispered.

Legoshi's head whipped around to the door.

"Wha--"

"TAKE IT BACK!" You yelled, hitting the floor with your fists. "How dare you say that to me! How dare you!" Legoshi's eyes were huge, completely taken aback by the explosion. "This whole year, I have been relentlessly teased over you. 'Oh, the little wolfy loves Legoshi',  'haha omni-baby has a crush on Legoshi' 'How are you and your man?' 'How does seeing Legoshi with other females make you feel?' I never once said I liked you! Not to a single person! Why does everyone assume that I like you, just because one time I asked to know more about you!? I've groomed with Bill, I was going to live with Louis! But no, everyone is obsessed with pairing me with you!"

Tears finally fell down your face as you hyperventilated through your monologue.

"I didn't care about Haru, Juno or anyone else! I never said a negative thing! I comforted you when anyone would have! Why am I being subjected to this, this torture?" Legoshi's eyes shook with tears of his own. He had never considered your feelings. No one had, apparently. "You called me your pack! I was fine with that! You told me how I relax you and you sought me out when you were hurting-- that's fine! What are friends for?!" You were completely sobbing. "I never expected anyone to come get me from that place. I was ready to be eaten, if it was meant to be. I never asked you to save me, I never asked anything of anyone!" It was killing him, to hear your voice like that. "The lion undressed me, groomed every part of me, and threatened to keep me alive in my own personal hell. But I wasn't a burden. Not to him, not to anyone. And now h-h-h-here you are, telling me that you were wrong about your feelings? That I should just forget how that made me feel when I heard it? I can't! I can't forget how wretched I felt. I have always lived as nothing but myself. I have been proud of myself and my decisions. But you, Legoshi, have done something I never wanted any beast to ever do to me."

The door creaked open, causing Legoshi's neck to spin so fast, he could have gotten dizzy.

"You have made a liar out of me, Legoshi. Because now, I have to admit now that I loved you all along. From the second I saw you."

Legoshi's jaw dropped open, but it was quickly swooped up by your own lips. Your soft body and fur rubbed against him, both of you momentarily forgetting the states you were in. Legoshi's eyes slowly closed and his body melted into the impromptu kiss. Gradually, his arms wrapped themselves around your body, pulling you closer into him. It began with you pushing him towards the carpet below him. But Legoshi had warned you; he was in alpha male mode. And now, nothing would be stopping him.
