"Juno? You're still cleaning? And holding that little maned wolf hostage?" Louis' voice rang through the dark room.
"H-Hello!" Juno greeted him.
"Hey... You know, you should at least turn on the lights if you're cleaning. One spotlight isn't enough for the room. Isn't that why you asked her to stay?" It felt like Louis didn't know your name, not bothered to remember it.
"Wolves are noctural.. .so we find dark places to be comfortable."
"...Right, you two are wolves."
You let out a sigh. Would there ever come a time that you didn't need to correct others?
"That's not all! We have two actor team members in a dark room under spotlight! Louis! Could you help me with my practice?" Her face looked so cheerful and innocent. But you knew better than to let them out of your sight.
"Fine." Louis narrowed his eyes. "Go ahead and I'll count. Ready?" Juno stood in the spotlight. "One, two, three, four... One, two, three-- No. That's not right."
"Oh, too fast?"
Why am I here for this? As a way for her to assert her dominance? Like I care about wolves and their stupid pack dynamics. I'm a solitary species. You thought as you rested your head on the metal railing of the rafters.
"No, you're too rough. Your movements can charm the spectators, but you need to prioritize harmony with your surroundings." Louis tried to explain. He was right, of course. Referring to the art of camouflage, you agreed it was more beautiful than the art of seduction. "Well, I'm sure the males would be happy to see you focus on simply having fun with dancing. Not that there's any reason you should aim for that." Juno's ears drooped, and you felt for her. Louis had been a bit insensitive. "Oh. I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to be sexist."
"It's okay." Suddenly Juno began to overpower the red deer. "I noticed."
"H-Hey..." He had underestimated the predator.
His mistake... carnivores come in many genders... You watched carefully.
"You hate me, don't you, Louis?"
You almost choked on your spit as Louis was pushed to the ground, with Juno straddling him.
"No..."
"You hate all carnivores."
"W-What are you doing? Trying to steal a kiss from me?"
"...No." Juno laughed, "Of course not. If I were to kiss you right no.. I wouldn't be able to stop myself from eating you alive. And I don't want that." Quickly, you scaled down the ladder and hid amongst the shadows. Louis was a strong herbivore. But a carnivore was an animal like anyone else. Sometimes they did bad things.
"I like Legoshi. Not you. This is a declaration of war, Louis. I will be the next Beastar." You crouched down diagonally from the two. "I will create a peaceful era for carnivores and Legoshi will be mine."
Suddenly, Louis felt the weight come off of him and he heard the gray wolf let out a whimper.
"Stop terrorizing herbivores." You immediately backed off from Juno and walked swiftly towards the doors. "It's unacceptable. Legoshi wouldn't like it." You opened the door and waited for Louis to stand up. He could defend himself now that he knew Juno's intention. She wasn't the murderous type anyway. "And turn off your own fucking lights."
