"To whom it may concern..." You whispered. "basically everyone. Not really a reason for a greeting anyway... Seems kind of pleasant for the subject matter... I'm not even writing a testament, just what is about to happen to me... in case anyone sees this and wonders..."
In your head, you wrote your last will and testament. If one could even call it that.
To whom it may concern,
I'm going to die in a few minutes. I'm about to die in such a stupid way that it's almost funny. I was abducted by this weird group of lion mobster and their boss keeps inspecting me in different ways to see if I'm going to taste good... I don't have the right to make complaints about how I'm here instead of someone like Haru... Who knew that omnivores could be so delicious?
If I was Haru, I'd have less regrets. If she likes a boy, she has him. She has Louis. And Legoshi. They love her and protect her like she's gold.
But I'm not an herbivore. I don't need protection. So I'm here, with no one looking for me probably. They might all assume I went back home... I was pretty depressed before this.
Louis was right. I'm a liar. Especially to myself. But if I'm going to do anything at the end of my life, it's certainly not going to be quivering in a corner as I'm slowly devoured.
The lion was on top of you, having licked you extensively and force-fed you an omnivorous meal to please anyone.
"Could you at least be quick?" You requested. "Or brush your fangs? Being licked by you has been... not how I've experienced grooming..."
"Oh, you have request for me?" Chief Lion laughed. "Well, I see so harm in satisfying either of those. But you'll have to make do with me shining my fangs with my handkerchief. I'll even be so kind as to eat your head first."
Down below, things weren't going so hot for Legoshi and Gouhin.
"That's enough out of the two of you." A lion pointed their gun at Legoshi.
"...And they found us." Gouhin chuckled. "Well, why don't you try giving him a lil' punch. I'm sure that'll stop the bullet from lodging itself in my skull. Maybe growl too, he could be stunned in fear, who know?!"
Back at the Meteor Festival, Louis wasn't holding up well in conversation with Juno.
"Louis. Did Legoshi do that to your face?" Juno whispered to the red deer.
"What? How did you--"
"I know his smell anywhere. If you think I'm clueless to any of this situation, then you're sorely mistaken. I am trying to be the Beastar, after all. I was really shocked when I figured out the Legoshi loved that bunny... Is that where he went?"
"I don't think... he's coming back..."
"Huh? Over that tiny bunny? What are you saying? Don't joke like that."
"I'm not. And he's not looking for the bunny. I left her safely in her bed... He's looking for that maned wolf. He might die tonight. Not even just him. Not him and her. Probably even more animals..."
And I wish, with a part of my heart, that I was one of them.
