Chapter 06: PhantomDeck

Break time namin ngayon and I'm on my way to see Colleen. Nagtext kasi siyang hihintayin niya raw ako sa tapat ng classroom nila. Business management building is on the west side of the campus. It's far from my building so I'm really pissed why I have to go all the way there.

I saw her just outside her room and she's obviously waiting for me. Noong namataan na niya ako ay kumaway-kaway siya at mukhang tuwang-tuwa. Minsan lang kasi ako mapadpad sa part na ito kasi ano naman gagawin ko dito, 'di ba? She's actually surprised that I agreed on coming here.

"Ven, bilisan mo!" I rolled my eyes when she even waved her hand for me to come closer.

Demanding? Instead of shouting there, why don't she just run towards me like she always does? Talagang nakatayo lang siya sa tapat ng room nila at pakaway-kaway. Inaantay akong makarating mismo sa harap niya.

Pagdating ko sa harap niya, agad ko siyang binatukan. It's not even hard but knowing this girl, she would react exaggeratedly.

"Aray naman Ven! Bakit mo naman ako binatukan?!" She scowled at me while scratching the part of her head while I hit her.

"Bakit mo ba ako pinapapunta dito?" She glared while pouting. I just raised my eyebrow at her, telling her that her childish attitude won't work on me now.

"So? Bakit nga?" Ulit na tanong ko na parang walang pakialam.

"Nakakainis ka naman, e," she said while being all teary-eyed as if I just took her candy or something.

I closed my eyes in irritation when I knew that I won't win here at all. Why is she such a child?! She just had to show her cutesy self to make me feel guilty for hitting her.

In the end, I sighed heavily and pat her head, admitting defeat. Gumuhit agad ang isang napakalaking ngiti sa kaniyang labi. She changes her mood really quickly. I mean, how the hell can she do that?

She flashed a wide smile, showing her perfect white teeth. "Ang cute ko no? 'Di mo matiis?" I rolled my eyes again before giving her a deadpan look.

"Umayos ka kung hindi babatukan ulit kita," banta ko sa kaniya na walang emosyon ang mukha.

"Joke lang!" She put both of her hands in front as if surrending before scratching her head again, hesitating. "So, I want you to meet someone. Come with me." Sabay hila sa akin sa kung saan.

Ang galing. She made me come all the way here just to bring me somewhere else. I inhaled a deep breath to calm my nerves. I can feel my blood boiling because of irritation. Did I mention I get irritated easily?

Hinila niya ako sa may bench kung saan may mga lalaking nakatambay. It's beside the field just outside the Business Management building.

"Rain!" Tawag ni Colleen sa lalaking nakaupo sa may bandang gitna ng bench na may hawak na gitara. Lumingon siya pati na rin iyong iba pa niyang mga kasamang lalaki. I think I know where this is going. "Hoy, Rain! Dinala ko si Ven dito para makapag-usap kayo."

Saglit kaming nagkatinginan no'ng Rain before I shook my head while rolling my eyes. Then I looked at Colleen who was standing right beside me. The most appropriate term is glare. I glared at her.

"Hey, Heavenly," he said while smiling brightly that made me irritated even more.

Hindi ako sumagot sa bati niya. Instead, I just looked at him with no interest at all. Nang mahalata niyang wala akong balak sumagot sa kaniyang bati, nagsalita na lamang siya ulit.

"Napag-isipan mo na ba ang tungkol doon?"

"Teka!" Biglang sumingit si Colleen kaya nalipat ang atensyon naming dalawa sa kaniya. She literally put her hands in front of our faces. Irita kong pinalo ang kamay niya paalis sa harap ng aking mukha. "Nakapag-usap na kayo? Kailan? Bakit hindi ako informed?"
