Chapter 29: I'm Sorry

"I'm tired!"

Lahat kami napalingon kay unan nang bigla na lang siyang sumigaw.

"We've been flying for hours already!"

She's right. Ever since we left the Enchantress' house, we've only stopped to rest for just once. And that was six hours ago!

Huminto kami kaninang lunch time para kumain at magpahinga saglit. And now, the sun is about to set again. Vyl said that Grandeucht Village is two days ride away using a pegasus. But with our pace, we would probably arrive a few hours early. Kanina pa ngumangawa si unan pero hindi man lang siya pinapansin ni Vyl.

"Vyl, I really think we should stop for today." This time, it was Zy who talked.

Hindi lang ako umiimik pero ang sakit na rin talaga ng puwet ko! I shifted uncomfortably on my seat. Wala na nga akong pakialam na lumilipad pa kami. Nawala na ang takot ko sa ere dahil sa ilang oras na paglipad dahil sa sakit ng puwet ko.

"We can't waste time," tipid na sagot ni Vyl.

"We're not. But at this rate, the pegasus won't hold out much longer too."

Zy is right. Napapagod din naman itong mga sinasakyan namin dahil may buhay sila. Nawala yata iyon sa isip ni Vyl.

"I-I'm tired too." Gusto ko man manatiling tahimik pero mukhang hindi papatinag si Vyl sa pagrereklamo ni unan at Zy. I had to speak too.

Good thing it didn't go to waste because Vyl turned to look at me. Of course, my gaze is glued in front. Nagpaparinig lang ako pero wala pa akong balak na kausapin siya. I silently crossed my fingers, hoping he would listen and let us rest for the night. We waited for a few seconds before he talked.

"Let's stop by at the closest village to spend the night."

Pillow shouted in relief. Malapit na rin sana akong magreact ng malakas pero buti na lang napigilan ko ang sarili. I saw Zy smiled too. Mabuti na lang talaga at pumayag siya. Pakiramdam ko kasi namamaga na iyong puwet ko kakaupo rito.

After a few more minutes of flying, we saw a little village nearby. We started to descend, being extra careful not to make any noise so we wouldn't get noticed by the Pluvenians in the village.

Vyl doesn't want them to know that he's out for a journey. He wants to stay lowkey because it'll cause a commotion for the pluvenians. Mahirap ang buhay prinsipe.

We landed in a dark secluded alley. Mabuti na lang at pagabi na. Wala nang masiyadong tao sa labas kaya walang nakakita sa amin.

"Willow, go take care of our place to stay. We can't show our faces."

"Sure thing."

Matagal din kaming naghintay sa pagbalik ni unan. Mukhang nahirapan siya sa paghanap ng pansamantalang matutuluyan namin ngayong gabi. Tahimik lang kami habang nakatayo rito sa madilim na eskinita ng village. I was leaning quietly on my pegasus while playing with Klyne when Pillow appeared.

"Sorry it took so long. Some Puvelas are full but I was able to get us rooms."

They informed me a while ago that Puvelas are like places you rent for you to stay. The counterpart of a hotel or inn in my world.

Tumango lang si Vyl at inayos ang kaniyang pegasus. "We'll be leaving the pegasus here. We'll fly through the window."

"What?" Gulat na tanong ko sa kanila.

"We can't let any of them see us. The best option is to fly our way up there."

Pero hindi ako marunong lumipad!
