[Emma's POV]

It was already 9:30 and Isabella and I weren't even half way done with our lava lamp. We had taken a break for when my parents came home so they could meet her and for dinner.

She sighed. "Uhg. It's getting late. I should probably head home."

"Aww do you have to go?" I didn't want her to leave.

"Yeah." She looked pretty disappointed too.

"Hey I have an idea! Why don't you spend the night here? As long as your parents are ok with it." I hadn't had a sleep over in forever.

"Yeah! I spend the night at Lottie's house all the time, I'm sure they wouldn't mind." She was just as excited as I was.

"Oh we should invite her over in the morning!" I wanted to spend so much more time with these crazy girls.

"Yeah! That's such a great idea!" She agreed with me.

I grabbed a few snacks and we decided on a movie to watch. We decided on a High School Musical marathon because who doesn't like High School Musical? We danced along to every song and sang our hearts out again.
By the end of the the third one we had passed out on my bed.
__________

I woke up to the sound of raindrops hitting my windows. I yawned and stretched. I saw Isabella still asleep on my bed and decided not to wake her up. I grabbed my guitar from it's hanging position on my wall and lightly played a song.

Soon enough, Isa woke up. The rain had just stopped and she rubbed her eyes, looking at me.

"Hey sleepy head. I didn't want to wake you." She let out a yawn.

"How long have you been up?"

"Just a few minutes." I replied. "I texted Lottie to come over soon."

She nodded. "You play the guitar?" She gestured to the instrument in my lap and arms.

"Yep. Since I was like ten I think."

"Wow you're good." She spoke after she listened to me strum a bit more.

"Thanks." I blushed. I hadn't really showed anyone my talent. Just my parents and close family. The doorbell rang and we rushed downstairs to find Lottie.

"Hey turdballs!" Isa pulled her into a hug. Those two were so close. I hugged Lottie afterwards. "I came over with my skateboard." She held up the board with wheels. I know Isa doesn't skates but do you Ermo?"

"Occasionally." I shrugged. "Want to go for a ride?"

"Of course," she responded smiling. We all walked out to my garage.

"Uh guys? I don't have one." Isa stood there.

"Ohhhhh yeah that's right. Bike?" I pointed to mine.

"Perfect." She headed over to it and hopped on. We took off on the sidewalk at full speed with Isabella in the street. Weaving around puddles, we laughed and joked, then I noticed someone new was moving into the house two doors down from me. That's where Ellie lived seven years ago. A sweet elderly couple lived there after her family, but soon had to move into a nursing home. It had been for sale since then.

We passed the house and went around a few blocks. We made it back to my house and were exhausted.

"I'm going to get some coffee. Anyone want anything?" They followed me inside and both raised their hands, out of breath. "I'm guessing you don't want coffee, Isa, so I'll get you a water." She nodded. "Coffee or water Lottie?"

"I'll take both." She caught her breath.

"Ok!" I headed into the kitchen to grab the beverages. They both slid onto the couch and checked their phones.

I was carrying all four cups and mugs when the doorbell decided to sing. I quickly set the glasses down on a side table without spilling and hurried to open the door. I had my coffee in hand and when I opened the door I got the best surprise in my life.

The full mug fell out of my hand and coffee spilled on the rug underneath my feet. I didn't care one bit.

My childhood best friend, Ellie, was standing right in front of me along with my online best friend, Faith. I stood there frozen. It must be a dream I blinked a few times but they didn't disappear. Isabella and Charlotte had run in from their places on the couch to find out what all the noise was. I stepped over the spilled coffee and pulled them both into a hug. I'm sure that I squeezed the life out of them.

"What are you guys doing here?" I whispered. I was on the verge of tears. I hadn't seen Elle in forever and now she was here with my online best friend from Instagram? What?

"Lynn, we can't breathe." Ellie choked out. She always used to call me by my middle name. I loosened my grip but still held them in a tight hug. I eventually let go and stood there just staring at them.

"So...? What are you doing here?" I looked back and forth at them.
