[Zach's POV]

"What are we whispering about?" I whispered into the circle that contained Faith, Ellie, Isabella, and Charlotte.

"Zach, get out of here you can't know." Lottie shooed me away.

"Please?" I begged. "I won't tell anyone."

"Promise?" She raised an eyebrow. I nodded, and they split the circle. I enter the empty spot, and they began to spill the secret.

"Emma was at the concert." Faith began. What?! My eyes widened as I heard her say that. "I went and said hi to her, as she was leaving. I gave her my number and stuff, but should we tell Daniel?"

"I don't think we should." Isabella spoke. "After all she did tell you not to tell him."

"Wait, why would she say that?" I asked, confused.

"Because she still loves him doofus." Lottie smacked my head.

"Zach, let's go for a walk." Jonah yelled up the stairs at me.

"Why?" I groaned and came to the doorway of my room so I could see him.

"Inspiration!" He shrugged and turned to put this shoes on. I huffed each step I took down the stairs, and put my shoes on when I got to the door.We walked to a nearby park, and then followed the small paths in the woods.

"This is pointless." I whined. The outdoors wasn't giving me any inspiration and I could be playing fortnite instead of wasting my time.

"Shut up Zach." Jonah scolded with a frown. I shook my head at his weird ideas, but continued to walk with him. I suddenly heard 'The Git Up' by Blanco Brown start to play from a nearby phone.

My eyes searched the trails and landed on a girl, who had her back to us. Jonah kept walking, but I ran over to her and joined into the dance. She was on tik tok, obviously. She froze when she saw me, but i continued on with the dance.

The song ended, and she still stood there. It was like time stopped for her. I now turned to look at her face, and saw Emma.

"Emma?" I breathed, a little out of breath. She finally broke eye contact, and went to retrieve her phone.

"Zach." She nodded at me and finally spoke.

"It's so good to see you." I smiled and gave her a hug. She returned it without hesitation. We both pulled back. "I heard you were at the concert?"

"Yeah." Emma laughed. "I didn't even know it was you guys until you introduced yourselves." I laughed along too.

"I'm assuming you heard your song then?" I asked, scratching the back of my neck. Emma nodded, and looked down again. "He really misses you."

"I miss him too." She whispered and a tear escaped her eye. She wiped her eye, and then wiped her hands on her ripped jean shorts. Emma straightened her cropped t-shirt and lifted her head up again.

"You should really come over sometime." I invited and handed her my phone. She entered in her name and number, and then returned it to me.
