[Ellie's POV]

I stopped Charlotte after lunch. Jonah had stormed off, Faith and Bryan were acting like they were a married couple, and Emma hadn't said anything the whole meal.

"Char, what's going on?" I called her my nickname for her.

"Oh. Yeah so Emma and Bryan used to date, last year. But then she broke up with him. That piece of dirt cheated on her. So Ermo basically hates him. But I'm not sure what's going on with Mr. Hothead."

"Oh. Ok. Wait Bryan cheated on her?" I was confused. Faith would never date anyone who did something as horrible as that.

"Yep!" Lottie replied and left me to stand there in awe. I couldn't believe my sister, well technically step sister, the shyest person ever, was dating a player. Unbelievable.

Something brushed past my arm and I was taken out of my reverie.

"You good?" It was Jack. We had started to get close. I shook my head to clear my thoughts.

"Yeah. What's up with Jonah?" I asked him.

"Not sure. I think Zach knows though." He replied matter-of-factly.

"Ok."

I called Jack after getting home. Faith was out with her new boyfriend, and everyone else dispersed.

I called Jack a few times, but it always went straight to voice mail. Finally, he answered.

"Hello this is Jacklyn." A fake female voice answered. I assumed it was Corbyn or Zach. Maybe even Daniel. There was shuffling on the other end, and then Jack spoke.

"Sorry that was Corbyn. What's up Elle?" He asked.

"Did you find out about Jonah?" I was concerned. It wasn't like him to get angry and run.

"Um yeah. I'm not sure if I should tell you though." I heard a muffled voice.

"You can tell her."

"Ok so Jonah's jealous. He likes your sister." He said and I assumed he moved into another room because there were no voices or big booms.

"Really?" It was hard to believe.

"Yup. So that's what happened."

"Well I'll get Faith straightened out, she'll listen. I can't believe she's now Bryan's girlfriend. I would never expect them to be together."

"Yeah I know right. He has to be terrible for her." I hummed in response to his statement. The front door made a little squeak, and I knew Faith was home.

"I've got to go. Bye Jackyn."

"Bye. Wait wha-" I cut him off by hanging up.

"By Faithy." I heard Bryan's muffled voice say from downstairs. That nickname didn't fit Faith at all. I heard her soft steps walk up the stairs and pass my room.

"Faithy!" I said in a sing song voice. She stopped and poked her head in my room.

"Yeah Ellie?" I gestured for her to come sit with me on the bed.
