[Emma's POV]

Jack started to yell after the movie. We had all fallen asleep I guess. "I'm not homeless!"

I felt my head on someone's shoulder, as it began moving. I rearranged my body because it had become stiff and achy. My eyes prepared to open and I saw whose shoulder I was on. It was Daniel's. I quickly held my head up as everyone started to wake up.

"Well I'm heading out." I announced after we all had woken up. I was ready to go home and shower as it was already eleven forty five.

I went over and gave Faith a hug. "I love you Fay." I whispered in her ear. "I'm sorry about the stuff with Bryan."

"It's ok Em." She whispered back and gave me a smile. She mouthed a thank you and went to turn off the tv.

All of us who didn't live here headed to the door. Jonah and Faith were hugging and Daniel and I left together.

"Bye guys!" He called back to them and the front door was shut by Ellie.

"Well goodnight Daniel." I turned towards him.

"Could I walk you home?" He asked. I giggled as it wasn't a very far walk.

"It's like two houses down. But sure." I changed my mind and shrugged after seeing the look on his face. He really wanted to walk me home.

We walked along the sidewalk, our hands brushing together. The first time I felt his touch, I pulled away, frightened. His hand was soft and welcoming, but we didn't have that kind of relationship. I didn't like him. Right?

I replaced my hand to my side, but held it closer so he wouldn't think I wanted something more than friendship.

"You've been really quiet all day." I told him.

"Tired I guess." He shrugged and brushed it off. We walked a little further in silence. I turned up my driveway and walked to my front step.

"Here we are. Thank you for walking me home Daniel." I said as I hopped up the steps. "I'll see you Monday?"

He turned back to me. "Or before." I smiled and Daniel's lips returned the same gesture.

"Night Daniel."

"Night Emma." I closed the front door and watched him start to walk back down my driveway and to his car, which was at Elle and Faith's house. I then remembered that our song for our music class was due in a few weeks. I unlocked the front door again and called after him.

"Wait!" I suddenly became nervous but continued. "We're still working on our song Monday morning right?" My fingers played with the rings on my hands.

"Yeah. I'll be there!" He smiled as I waved. He turned and went back to his car. I watched him for as long as I could. He was so sweet and kind.

Even with all the boyfriends I've had, I've never managed to have one on Valentine's Day. It was strange.

With that special holiday coming up, on Friday the fourteenth, it was only two weeks away. It was Saturday today, and I woke up with a groggy feeling from staying up too late with my friends last night.
