[Emma's POV]

I couldn't believe Ellie was back. And she was back with my online best friend, Faith. Life is crazy. Isa and Lottie got to know them too and we all became great friends.

Sunday was full of hanging out, laughing, and talking and I truly had a blast. I feel as if these girls have been in my life forever.

I woke up Monday, early. It was the start of a new semester and I wanted to get to music class as soon as I could. Isabella, Lottie, and I all had it together, while Faith and Ellie were taking a writing class.

I got out of bed and started a mug of coffee. I changed into a puffy black jean jacket, a white tank top, ripped jean shorts, and checkered vans.

I headed out of my house, coffee in hand, of course, and to school in my Jeep.

I arrived at school. There weren't many cars there, as it was still 7:25 and school didn't start for another 35 minutes.

I headed into the music wing and stopped at the door where my class was.

'If you are early, feel free to play an instrument, but only if you know how.
-Mrs. Polles'

Wow this teacher actually trusts us with expensive things. I opened the door, only to find the room empty. I walked into one of the practice rooms and found a beautiful guitar. It wasn't as nice as mine at home, but that was only because it had been played by many hands.

I adjusted the capo (I'll explain what that is later for those of you that don't know) to the seventh fret and began to fingerpick the beginning of Let Her Go by Passenger. The start of it was beautiful and even though I had learned it a long time ago, it was still one of my favorites.

"Well you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go
And you let her go"

I started to sing the song, not even caring about my surroundings.

"Staring at the bottom of your glass
Hoping one day you'll make a dream last
But dreams come slow and they go so fa-"

I cut my self off when I heard a loud noise. My eyes shot open and I almost dropped the guitar. I saw a boy around my age standing at the door, a little embarrassed. I quickly stood up and brushed myself off. I knew my face was tomato red.

"No please keep going, it was amazing." He said and gestured to the instrument. I swear my face turned a deeper red, if that was even possible.

Something about this boy made me trust him though, so I continued playing and singing.

"You see her when you close your eyes
Maybe one day you'll understand why
Everything you touch surely dies"

He joined in at the chorus. Wow he had a beautiful voice.

"But you only need the light when it's burning low
Only need the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go."
