I just updated but everyday feels like three days so whatever. Plus I like this one and couldn't hold out any longer
CATALINA
"Good morning." Ashton yawns, turning his face over to look at me.
"Oh..I can't believe guilt didn't eat you alive in your sleep." I glare at him.
"It did, I had a dream you killed me."
"I obviously didn't do a good enough job, you're still keeping secrets." I aggressively take the cover off of me and throw it to the side.
I get up and put my slippers on and walk into the bathroom. I look at myself in the mirror and try to change my angry expression to a more subtle one. From my peripheral vision, I see what looks like a pregnancy test sitting on the counter. I narrow my eyes and examine it closely, gasping when I see two bright red lines.
I ball my hands into fist and wrap a sheet of tissue paper around it and pick it up.
"Is this what you've been keeping from me!?" I stomp into the room, yelling at him.
"What? That I'm pregnant?" He raises an eyebrow and looks at the test.
"No! That Lily is!"
He squints his eyes and looks at it carefully before leaning back. His eyes widen slightly like he gets an idea and then he looks at me. "Yes."
"What!?" My voice screeches higher than it ever has before as I feel the rage levels in my body shoot out of socket.
"Wait no..". Ashton says quickly, standing up to go on the other side of the bed to make distance between us."I lied."
"Are you dumb!"
"I thought that saying that would be better than telling you the actual thing, but that was stupid." He explains.
"So you thought...." I speak slowly, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath to contain my anger. "Saying you got someone pregnant would be better than whatever you're not telling me!"
"Yes...but I see where that was a bad idea."
"and I'm just supposed to believe you!?" I throw it at him and he flinches, moving out of the way.
"There's pee on that!"
"You're going to see worse than her pee when she has your child." I glare at him. "No wonder you're always so late, nothing is open at 4 o'clock in the morning but legs—"
"and the hospital. Where I work."
"Well you won't be working anywhere after I kill you!"
I walk out of the room, slamming the door behind me as I storm into the kitchen. My nostrils flare and when I close my eyes in attempts to recollect myself, all I see is red. I forcefully open the silverware drawer, rummaging through all the utensils in search of a knife that's big enough and sturdy enough to slice through skin. I don't want to hear an explanation or a lie, I'm just so angry that I want both of them away from me.
"What's going on?" Lily opens her door with slightly closed eyes and a tired face.
"If you want to live long enough to have your baby, I suggest you stay out of my sight." I say, holding my breath and trying to stay calm because if I don't, I'll probably have my own child in jail.
"What?" She furrows her eyebrows in confusion.
"What do you mean 'what'? I can't believe you!" I shout at her. "You think sleeping with my boyfriend is going to change the fact—"
