"Where are your assignments!?" Mr. Hamilton's infuriating and heart-flinching voice covered the whole room with anxiousness.
"Isn't it I told you last Friday to bring your assignments in history with a pictures of difference between ancient and modern period? How could you all be unattentive and oblivious at the same time!" Mr. Hamilton clenched his teeth and slammed the book in his hands.
"You all get me so disappointed today. Mondays supposed to be very exciting and productive but you all seemed to be lazy and lethargic," He said with a firm and hoarse voice. "I have given you two freaking peaceful days to sit pretty and do some clicking, browsing and printing! I did not ask you to sit pretty and do some amusements, attend some mind-blowing parties and have a freaking date with someone in a fine dining restaurant!"
"Oops." Zach silently giggled.
I nudged him in his elbow and I chuckled.
"I told you to bring your assignments today, not to make some 'hows-your-weekend everybody'!" Mr. Hamilton said sarcastically with a tone of mocking.
We all laughed and stopped in the horrifying look Mr. Hamilton made towards us.
Mr. Hamilton widened his eyes with horror. "You find it funny huh?"
"No sir." We said in unison.
"Fine! Do it today and surrender your works in my office, thirty minutes before three."
We cheered in happiness. "Yes sir! Thank you."
Mr. Hamilton can be so serious and terrifying sometimes but he has a good heart and he's willing to give chances to the students who doesn't have a chance, like us.
I giggled.
"Hey, let's make it at the library." Zach softly smiled at me.
How can someone be so damn gorgeous with just one smile?
"Yeah, come on. We better hurry." I said, fixing my notes and putting them in my small bag.
We walked out of the room as the bell rang and Mr. Hamilton vanished out. We went out of the building and proceeded to the Library. Girls are looking at me like I just murdered someone, some clique of boys are frowning and looking at Zach. People are gazing and whispering with a grin and some with a scowl on their faces.
"What's their problem? Do I look hideous or something?" I said, frowning my eyebrows and sauntering firmly.
"No, you look beautiful," Zach smiled. "They must be surprised that you're with me." Zach chuckled.
Yeah, right. This guy that I'm walking with is a damn gorgeous and eye-fetching man with a fine dark green hoodie and a black tight-fitting jogging bottoms that completely hugging his perfect legs and his eye-satisfying butt. Yeah, I looked at them sometimes. You can't blame me, he's freaking sexy and attractive.
"I'm probably dead in some girls' mind right now." I said with a smirk.
Zach laughed gently. "And I'm probably dead in some boys' mind right now."
We both laughed and we enter the library and went for a seat. We put our bags on the chair and sit. We both get our notes and browse some history facts from a website. After several minutes of writing down notes and synopsis, we stand up and went to the computer section to print out some images Mr. Hamilton assigned us to print out from the internet.
After quite a bit of printing, we quickly fixed our things and went out of the library. We went to Mr. Hamilton's office but he's nowhere in sight.
"Good afternoon Mrs. Williams, may I asked where can we find Mr. Hamilton? We need to submit our assignments to him." I smiled.
"Oh, yes my dear, he told us he needs to come home early. He instructed to let you guys put it on his table, it's near Mr. Vagner's table." Mrs. Williams said, smiling and pointing at Mr. Hamilton's table.
I took Zach's notes and printouts and sauntered to Mr. Hamilton's table and placed it all down beside his fastened documents.
"Thank you Mrs. Williams!" I smiled and she returned the smile and we walked out the office.
"Hey, we haven't eaten lunch yet, do you want to got outside and eat?" Zach said, with a smile.
"Oh, sure. Gosh, I'm craving for burgers, cheese fries and nuggets."
Zach smiled and let out a small chuckle while looking away. We went to our cars and hopped in. I was the one leading the way to get to the restaurant in the edge of the city. As soon as we reached the restaurant, we parked our cars and removed our safety belt.
"Hey! This is what I'm talking about. They have the best fries and mouth-drooling burgers. I can't wait for you to try them. Let's go inside!" I said with an excited tone of voice and yanked him inside the restaurant.
Unfortunately, it's Monday so a lot of people are here in the line ordering for a meal to eat. I saw Zach's face, expressing skeptical thoughts when he saw the bunch of people in the queue.
"Hey, I know you're hungry, so am I. But definitely these people are hungrier that's why they were the first in line before us. Now, I want you to be patient. Let's wait, okay?" I said holding his hands with a persuading look and I smiled.
After some pep talk, I finally convinced him to stay in the line and wait for our turn to order. Now, there are two persons ordering before us. The first one, completely got his order and went out. The person in front of us seemed to struggle ordering her food. She keeps on tilting her head and looking closely in the counter."
"Hey, are you okay?" I said, tapping her shoulder.
"Uhm, I'm so sorry. I can't see the food menu. I forgot to bring my eye glasses." She sheepishly held her elbow and scratched it.
"No, no, no, it's okay," I smiled.
I took my phone and took pictures of the food menu. I told her to zoom it in so she can clearly see the food and its price. After a minute, She finally had her order and thanked me for helping.
"You're such a beauty inside and out." Zach muttered in my ears and his warm breath touched all sensations on my shoulder down to my spine and awakened the feeling of eagerness to be touched and caressed.
No, oh God, I shouldn't feel this way.
I smiled at him and we both ordered our food and went for a table.
I watched him devouring his food deliciously with one bite. And I can't help but to laughed at him.
"Why?" He said, while munching away his delicate burger.
"I'm just happy that you're enjoying the food. You're eating and swallowing it like you've never eaten for a week." I chuckled.
Zach smiled. "Thank you, Francine."
"For what?"
"If it wasn't because of you, I might've not taste a perfectly delicious food like this." He smiled and a portion of mayonnaise touched the side of his lips.
I picked up the tissue and slowly wipe it to his perfectly curved lips and we stared at each other for a couple of seconds—or maybe more than a couple of seconds because I can't stop looking at those lips...
I gazed at his beautiful eye-fetching lips and I blinked. "You have a mayonnaise on the side of your lips so, I—I—"
"I like you, Francine." He muttered with an unmistakable affection in his glinting beautiful eyes.
Completely absent-minded, I missed the words he uttered. "W—what?" I stammered.
"I—uhm... Nothing." He smiled. "Let's finish our food and let's take you home."
