"Thank you, Zach. I really appreciate you." I smiled at him and waved goodbye.
"You're welcome, France. Anything, for you." He said and he scrolled down the window of his car.
I smiled and watched him drove away. I opened the gate and enter the house. I removed my shoes and threw my bag on the couch. Stretching and yawning, I removed my ponytail and went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water.
After drinking, I went straight to my room and I found my phone charging.
"Oh my God, I forgot my phone the whole day without even noticing it!" My eyes widened and my mouth pursed into an O.
"This is impossible, I have to check on my social media accounts!" I unplugged my charger and took my phone. I saw a lot of texts and missed calls from Sandy and Alexa.
Sandy babe
Bitch pick up the phone!
Apr. 29 14:38
Hey france come on you have to know this
Apr. 29 16:35
France, please
Apr. 29 16:49
Fine. Call me back when u saw my text
Apr. 29 17:05
I scowled with mild confusion and astounding feeling because of Sandy's text messages. I wonder why is she so eager for me to reply.
I opened Alexa's text messages.
Alexa babe
Hey, you have to answer the phone, now!
Apr. 29 14:15
Francine Clarkson I think we saw Ford
Apr. 29 15:50
France I'm with Sandy right now
Apr. 29 16:38
I almost dropped my phone seeing Ford's name in Alexa's text messages. Alexa doesn't complete my name without saying something serious. I suddenly felt a pit of nausea in my stomach and I quickly called Alexa and Sandy for a conference call.
"Hey, Sandy! Alexa is also on the call." I said.
I heard alexa heaved a sigh on the other line. "Francine, you should have picked the call!"
"I'm sorry, I forgot my phone at home charging." I said in an apologetic tone of voice.
"What? You never do that! You always keep your phone with you!" Alexa protested.
"Look, today has been very exhausting for me. I did a lot of stuffs today and I'm so, so drained. I supposed to go home early but Zach and I went for lunch. I'm sorry..." I said, with a low tone of voice.
"What? You just went with him and suddenly you forgot your phone with lots of notifications, text messages and missed calls from your friends? France, your phone is the most important thing you never forget to bring, what happened to you?" Sandy said, and heaved a sigh.
"Hey, I'm so sorry, okay? I didn't mean to forget my phone at home, I'm just—I'm just so tired and lethargic that's why maybe I didn't notice to bring my phone with me. I even left it charging the whole day. I'm so sorry." I said with a cracking voice. I heaved a sigh and tears fell down on my cheeks.
"Oh God, Francine are you crying? I didn't mean to offend you or something, I'm just—"
I wiped my tears and sniffled a little. "I need you both right now, can you please come into my house?"
