"Heidi!" Sigaw ni Samuel kaya tumigil ako sa paglalakad para hintayin siya.

"You said you are going to Mark's party. I was looking for you. I can't believe you tricked me again."

"Kasi hindi ka titigil na kulitin ako hangga't hindi ko sasabihin na pupunta ako. Isa pa kilala mo ako, I never go to party."

"Come on, we're 18! We must go out to have some fun."

"Correction, I'm 17 and last week ka lang naging 18. I don't need to go out to have some fun because I am having fun staying at home just sleeping."

"Mabuti nalang talaga I'm your best friend. Okay I won't bother you when it comes to party. But promise me to come to our outing, okay?"

"Fine"

Hindi ko akalain na naging kaibigan ko talaga si Samuel. He's nice to me and always on my back. But everything is different. Matalino parin siya pero hindi na siya iyong batang laging inaapi, he's famous now and marami ang naghahabol sa kaniya dahil sa physical appirance niya and nagiging mayabang siya dahil dito. Pero kilala ko siya, he's still the same.

"Anyway, are we still going for the business ad?" he asked.

"Oo ako, why? Do you wanna do something else?" We... No, I really wanna go to college and take business ad, because of my family business. Samuel said that he'll take business ad too and we'll both go to the same university.

"I wanna be a detective," he sighed "But I don't think I can be a detective. You know, just like you. My father wants me to run his business someday."

"Then talk to him. Matalino ka naman, kaya mo 'yan." Tumayo ako upang makauwi na dahil kami nalang ang nandito sa room.

"Speaking of matalino, I got 99 on the exam and you got 100. I don't know the answer to the last question!"

Mukhang hindi na naman siya mapakali na may mali siya.

"Hindi ko alam hinulaan ko lang iyon." Ayoko lang kulitin niya ako.

"You are really smart but you don't wanna be on the top. Kung hindi ka pa nakipag pustahan kay Arvin ay hindi mo sasagotan lahat ang test."

He's right, I am smart but I don't just wanna be like them. Grinding just to be on top? Hell no, in the end gra- graduate naman kaming lahat.

"I know that you just don't like to study hard but after this last quarter exam, we will having the Top Students Exam."

Ang ibig niyang sabihin ay ang exam na kailangang I take ng lahat upang makita kung sino ang top students sa school na ito. He is always top 1 at ako ay top 10.

"Okay listen to me. Be the top 1 and I will not go to any party this summer."

Tinignan ko siya ng masama, "Pabor sayo iyon. At saka wala akong pakialam kung mag party ka araw araw sa summer." Ang pangit ng sinabi niya kaya hindi ako payag.

He smiled, "Okay ganito, I won't tell your parent that you are making other's assignments and projects for money. In exchange, be the top 1 student in this school."

Now that is working. "Tinatakot mo lang ako, papayag ako pag isasama mo na rin iyong unang kondisyon mo."

Tumigil siya sa paglalakad at ganon din ako. Itinaas niya ang kamay niya, "Deal?"

Wala naman akong magagawa kaya idinikit ko ang kamay ko sa kamay niya, "Deal."

"Okay let's go."

Siguro isang rason din ito kaya magkaibigan parin kami. He never stop on telling me to be serious on my study. He knows that I can be the top 1 if I just want to even if that means he will end up the top 2. Mabait siya... sobra.

"Samuel, naisip ko na si-seryosohin ko na rin ang mga natitirang exam natin ngayon." Well kahit naman ma perfect ko lahat ng exam ay hindi parin ako ang magiging top 1 sa class namin at wala namang magbabago dahil sa result ng Top students exam kaya siya parin ang top 1.

He smiled, "That's nice. You better do that, but you should treat me after this."

He still do that silly smile.

"Anyway, ilan sa mga ginawan mo ng essay project ay pinatawag ng teacher at pinagsulat ng bago right on the spot because the one you created is too good to be true that they created it themselves."

I can see from his eyes that he is concern I might get involve. "Don't worry, alam nila kung anong dapat gawin kahit na pagsulatin sila ng bago. May nagsabi saakin na may nag sumbong sa teacher before they are even called."

He sigh, "You should stop that already, baka madamay ka pa."

I smiled on him, "Don't worry, last naman na natin ito sa highschool kaya titigil na ako. Also, no one will drag me into that issue. Takot nalang nila saakin." Sayang din kasi iyong pera na kikitain ko.

"Students from other section hates you, you know. They might use it against you."

There he is, over thinking and being too much concern.

"Don't mind them."

Oo maraming naiinis saakin because when I get the chance, pinapahiya ko ang mga taong hindi mabait saakain sa harap ng maraming tao.

I don't care 'bout them.
