If you haven't read Harry Potter because it's witches and magic: this is witches and magic. Just telling you now. It is labeled mature and will have mature themes, hence the only four chapters of reading you got out of me. Congrats. 🎉
There's some cursing, but as of four chapters in it's definitely minimal.
I love the cover!! It's so pretty and detailed. Just, wonderful. And the blurb is great. Maybe a little long, but it definitely represents the story well. Kudos to you. I hate writing blurbs XD
The opening is fantastic. I mean, really. It snapped my attention fully to what it was happening, and definitely made me want to read more. I think it was very appropriate to start where it did. I know I freak out about where to start a story, and I think the author did an excellent job.
The writing is professional and very well done. Like the story was thought through before hand and edited well before published. I absolutely appreciate this. Bad grammar, underdeveloped characters, and weird actions are distracting.
I really like how the characters were introduced, completely in their character. I didn't feel like they were hesitating or acting jerky. Thank you.
I did feel like in the second chapter we got shoved away from the main character. I'm not sure if it's because we skipped two months of her life or because she was suddenly different? But it definitely got the point across that she was changed.
I absolutely loved the first couple chapters! Very mysteryrious and well done.
