First of all, I love the aesthetics posted before the story <3 they're so pretty. It's always something I love when authors include, but I can never do it myself XD
This story is amazing, so summery, you know, catching all the vibes. The characters are gems, the grammar is good, story is wonderfully done. I always have a problem with teen fiction starting off lazily and having too much drama and not enough good plot.
But for some reason the drama is good? I never understand why it does when it works out. XD Tension is maintained so well between the characters and in the main character's mind.
The main character's voice is crystal clear from the first line, so thank you. Not a generic voice. Her PoV is interesting and refreshing, and her little comments on all the other characters/life are just... just beautiful. I bet you I smiled at least twice every chapter.
All the characters are well done. They all feel real, and btw they all need a hug. Like really. Someone needs to hug them all until everything is better.
The backstory is handled well. We don't get a massive dump of everything, not all the secrets revealed on the first page, thank God. Just enough to get the reader curious, then little tidbits here and there to make us keep reading ON TOP OF THE ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF TENSION BETWEEN CERTAIN CHARACTERS. Jeez.
I love it.
Can't wait for the next chapter.
