I absolutely adore this story. It's up there on my favorites list.
I completely forgot I was supposed to review this because the story was just so good, so I had to go back and try to find things to say that aren't fangirling because I forgot to keep track XD yeah, I'm a real professional.
Plot: Marie has extreme social anxiety and is a real wallflower. Who better to help her than Finn, Mr popular? I know right, the jerk. But what happens when he turns out to be less than shallow, and his advice actually helps?
The characters are so spectacular!! All of them develop so well? How in the world. It's amazing. Her brother is so completely annoying, but somehow I'm starting to like him. They're all so complex and adorable. They all have their struggles and frustrations, even the side characters, and I loveeeee it.
The story is ingenious and developed well from the very first chapter. And just?? I haven't seen a story do this before so it's just earned it's own pedestal in my mind because I haven't read a "popular kid helps struggling non-popular kid and maybe a bit of romance in the middle" thing with mental illness before <3
The writing is excellent!! Thank you very much.
I absolutely LOVE this story. Definitely one of my favorites on Wattpad.
As for my thing............
PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT ANY HINTS OF SPOILERS
The only thing that I felt bummed about, because it felt so cliche, was a certain person when they started dating. How his personality changed and he suddenly started to get super clingy and controlling felt like a purposeful "he's not the one she should be in love with, see how awful this is and how she should obviously break up with him."
I know I know, it means when she comes back, we'll feel like she's overcome something. But too often the author makes the "wrong" guy obviously wrong.
XD see me scrambling to find something to give constructive criticism on? I don't think it's something that needs to be changed, but if his personality could stay consistent between before they're dating and during it would feel way less cliche ;) if that makes sense.
