45. The Gun Training (Part 2)

-Kent's POV-

Finally, they learned on the postures and the draws of a pistol, I admit that they were learning very quickly on handling the guns. But still, they have a lot to learn, today I am teaching them on how to shoot pistols, I mean the proper way on how to shoot pistols.

"So, you learned the proper posture and the correct handling of pistols, now I will teach you on how to shoot pistols the proper way. This is not only like the shooting bang-bang-bang, where you can spray your bullets wherever you want, you need to save bullets. So you'll have a shot limit on every designated targets you will have", I explained to them, they gave me a serious look.

"Shot limits? You mean like every target is three bullets, something like that? ", Sairo commented, the two boys beside him looked at him and raised their eyebrows. I nodded in agreement.

"Correct, you'll have to minimize your usage of bullets to save ammo, the maximum bullets on a designated target is only five. Well if you have placed a bullet in a weak and good spot, that could give you one bullet minimum", I uttered in front of them, as I faced the targets and started to show them. 

"So, like I said earlier, you should lean your upper body a little in front, the grip technique that I taught you, use it. Then point your gun using your gun's rear and front sight to the enemy, make sure that you align the rear and front sight correctly,  or you will miss. Then, the regular spray of bullet is always three bullets at the dead center, but my sure technique is two on the chest and one on the head. That will make your enemy surely dead, but in other cases when you hit your enemy with a well placed bullet in the weak spots, they will be dead. So, try to practice targets, point your gun on the chest and the head, Do not shoot first! Just point, try to imagine that you are pulling your trigger . ", I ordered them, as they went forward to the target section and started practicing. They brought out their guns and started to point it to their targets, I walked behind them to see how are they doing in the practice.

"Good", I said, as I passed though Nafie

"Excellent", I nodded my head at Sairo, "Be more faster in the transition between the chest and head"

"Well Christopher, very swift pointing! ", I smirked at Christopher. After two minutes of pointing practicing, I finally called them out.

"Okay, that's enough, let's see if you can handle the real shooting", I uttered at them, as I tried to shoot the target in front of me. Like I said, two in the chest, one in the head, all in the cemtermost point, I put the safe on my Canik and puts it back on the holster.

"Look at my target", I urged them, as they stared my target and noticed the holes on the dead center, "You see that the two bullets in the dead center is almost an inch apart, that is accuracy, tight grips on your gun will help that. Put on your earpiece and let me see how you shoot, try the technique I used, let me see how you do", I ordered, as they put their earpiece and brought their handguns out, they stretched their arms out and started to shoot. It was only a matter of seconds when the three finally finished shooting, they put the safe on their guns and placed it on their holsters.

I poked at their targets and checked it, at first I was astounded that they had a accurate shots not even spreading almost a foot apart on the chest area.  While on the head, no misses but it didn't hit the nose area. I started citing out their pros and cons while targeting...

I started at Nafie's target first, "Nice progress Nafie, I say two inch apart of the shots, one is on aorta area, sort of. But the head shot is kinda off, I think you shot him in the left forehead. Otherwise, nice work Nafie", I said, as Nafie smiled at me and looked at his targets back, He carried his weapon and showed off at us.

"I think, I am liking this weapon very much", Nafie smirked at me, I chuckled off and went next to Sairo, I checked its targets and stared for a moment.

"Sairo... What do we got here", I implied, Sairo was sweaty when I arrived at his position, he wags his right leg uneasily, "What's the matter Sairo? ", I asked him

"I.. Uh... I... Don't... Want", Sairo stuttered, as I checked his target very closely, I was shocked! I saw the bullet holes on the chest, when I measured it from a distance, I estimated that the distance between the two bullets is almost half a inch, While on the head shot, almost at the center part! I turned at Sairo which I am likely astounded.

"Sairo, look what you have done! You are a sharpshooter! ", I exclaimed at Sairo, he looked at me with a smile on his face.

"Really? ", Sairo asked me, he didn't expect that he would be shooting that accurate, he scratched his head and grinned at me.

"Just take a look! ", I urged him, as he finally looked at his target shyly, but when he finally saw the shots, his jaws dropped, eyes widened. He couldn't believe that he could shoot that accurately.

"Maybe beginner's luck", He said  sarcastically, as I chuckled at him snd finally moved to Christopher.

"Let's see what we have here", I uttered, as I looked at Christopher's target and took notes. The holes on the chest area were separated by just 3 inches apart, one on the lung area and on the dead center. While on the head, the bullet hole is located likely on the jaw part, I'm not sure...

"So, how's my progress? ", Christopher asked me, voice shaking.

"You've done good Christopher", I commented, as I finally finished checking every targets of the three men. I stood still behind them, as I ordered them to shoot more.

"Okay, all of you did well, we will do other more.... Can you do a rapid fire of a pistol? ", I asked them, as they began to look each other confusingly, they rubbed their heads and looked at me.

"What rapid fire? Pistols don't have full auto", Sairo siad, raising his eyebrow.

"Continuous shot, pulling the trigger very fast and simultaneously", I implied, as they nodded in response.

I went towards Nafie's target counter and showed them the simultaneous shooting, "Like this", I demonstrated, as I fired five shots in just under two seconds, they gasped loud as they went ot their respective target counter, I moved aside and they started shooting. They did emptied their magazines in just under seven seconds, I am pretty sure that they could be a gunslinger in just two days. I have a good feeling in them.

"Nice shooting folks! Thought you would be a sharpshooter in the future", I said as we finally took a break from our training.

"We should be resting first, you may take your break. But, leave your guns here first, they would not disappear. We'll train the other tomorrow, be ready", I said , as we finally took off our holsters and guns, and put it on one side of the guns section. After several minutes, we finally ascended from the armory and finally took our break, I would train them tomorrow for the AR course. They had been exemplary today, hope they would be a good gunners in the future.
