50. The Sail (Part 4) - Who is that?

"Wait, what?! ", I asked Dusty confusingly, "What do you mean? ", I asked again, Dusty only gave a smile at me.

"What if that lens was something to do with your destiny. Maybe the Dragon Eye was still intact after all", Dusty commented, I began to think for a minute and finally remembered.

"But the Dragon Eye was destroyed yeah?", I answered Dusty, he tried to remember the scene in Race To The Edge where the gang destroyed the Dragon Eye for good - But how did a lens ended in such a place like in Greenland?

"Yeah, I do remember it", He said, glancing at me, as he was controlling the wheel of the boat, "By the way, how did that lens really ended on Greenland? ", He asked it too, really curious about how did the lens winded here.

"I don't know, but I'm suppose that it was destiny", I answered, as someone else started to - wait what!?

"It was destiny, Dennis", the voice said. I lifted my head up because we are the only persons inside the boat. The voice was deep and low, I swung my head everywhere to scan the are for some signs of the man. We began walking o freak out

"Who are you?! What are you doing here? Are you here to kill us?! ", Dusty asked, his voice was trembling due to the fact that he was terrified. I didn't spit a word, I just still searched for that man who just spoke in the middle of our conversation. Then, I saw a human figure on the entrance of the bridge and immediately looked at it. I panted heavily, as he finally stepped inside of the wheelhouse and revealed himself, I recognized him quickly so I gave a huge gasp, my jaws dropped, Dusty did the same. We had a long silence as we saw the man who stood in front of us, I started to speak, jaws still dropped.

"Hiccup... ", I finally said, Hiccup smirked at us, I tried to walk towards him and hug him but I only passed through. I went back on front of him and looked confused.

"We can see you like a real human, but we can't touch you, why? ", Dusty asked, as he looked confused too. Hiccup finally spoke to us.

"Remember, I am just a soul that you could both see, I was sent here by the gods", We both gasped loudly, "I know you're happy to see me but, I need to talk to both of you", He finally finished, as we carefully listened to him and started talking

"It was destiny Dennis", He started, "I did made your mind to really stop on Greenland to get the Dragon Eye lens by you. I confess that we didn't destroy the lens at first glance, instead we kept on our lifetime and gave it to Toothless, which until now is still with him. It was a long, long time now since I gave it to him, well Toothless was dead now, a thousand years is a long time Den", He finished, as we both gasped as we heard that Toothless was dead.

"But Night Furies can live up to thousands of years right? ", I asked, protesting at him.

'No, no, no, no! Toothless cannot be dead, he lives for thousands of years! I guarantee it!! ", I thought, this really can't be. I looked away from Hiccup in desperate grief.

"You can't fake it Dennis, he is really dead", He replied to my thought - wait, how did he knew my thought?! I looked at him again and asked him.

"How did you know what am I thinking? ", I asked Hiccup confusingly, he grinned and answered me.

"Remember, your soul is my soul, so I could feel, see and know what are you doing and thinking", I gave a blank stare at him.

"Oh okay, I remember", I answered.

"Good luck in your journey Dennis, may the gods be with you", Hiccup said, I had a lot of questions in mind that time, so I quickly called him to ask a few about it.

"Wait, I need to ask you something", I exclaimed at Hiccup, but it was too late, he was gradually fading out to the horizon.

"Bring the dragons free again Dennis, my trust is with you, please find Toothless", He finally said, as began to burst into tears as he finally vanished into thin air without a trace.

I looked down sadly for a moment because of the fact that Toothless was dead, it can't be, I will find him, and gonna make sure that he is still alive. I went out and finally looked at the blue sky, winds brushed my face and hair.

"I'll make sure Hiccup, I'll mske sure that I will find Toothless again. I'll promise!!! ", I shouted through the winds and to the sky, as tears rolled on my cheek as I said that sentence. I finally went back inside and sat down near Dusty and wiped my tears with my shirts sleeve.

"Dennis, it's okay buddy. I will help you, we will find Toothless alive", He said, as he patted my shoulder as I sticked to him, he did rubbed my hair to make me smile.

"Stop that", I said happily with tears, Dusty teased me and gave a laugh.

"Stop crying now, we will find him. I assure you", He said, as I finally wiped the last tears dripping on my face and finally smiled. I took a deep breath and finally looked at the sea in front of us.

We still had sailed on the sea for several hours, looking at the neverending plain of water that stretched for thousands of miles. We still had a shift for controlling the boat, I was in the night while Dusty is in the day.

After 3 hours of sailing, we saw to mainlands between us, I assume that we are now at the Denmark straight, where you could find the lands of Iceland and Denmark, we could barely see the two lands with our naked eye but we could distinuguish it. We still have more than 10 hours until we arrive the Arctic Shelf.

-9 and a half hours later-

Well this time, I was incharge of controlling the boat, it was somewhere between six to deven in the night, the spotlight of the boat is still making light in front of us, there was an object that drew my attention very far on my front. I furrowed my eyebrows to constantly see the object on my front, I still can't see it. I used my binocular to clearly see it, when I sighted the object with my binocular, my jaws dropped when I finally clearly saw the object in front of us.....

A huge Iceberg..

I quickly woke up Dusty from sleeping to get the news...

"Dusty, Dusty, Wake up! ", I exclaimed at him, as he bolted his head up, half awake, half sleeping, he was clueless why he was called.

"What is it Den? I'm in sleep", He said in a lazy manner.

"Can you just get up and try to see it for yourself? ", I frowned and snorted at Dusty, as he fixed himself and finally got up, he went on me and gave him the binocular, he put the binocular in front of his eye and stared at the object that I said earlier. He gave me the binocular after and still went back to his sleeping position, he didn't even gasp or made his jaws drop. I raised an eybrow on him.

"Did you see a thing? ", I asked him, and gave a disappointed look at him. He shook his head in response, I grunted in frustration and finally told what the heck that thing is.

"You idiot, that's an Iceberg, we are now at the Arctic circle you sleepyhead! ", I snorted at Dusty, as he bolted his head up and looked at me, this time he was now full of energy as he heard my sentence.

"Really!? ", He asked me exclaiming.
