-Kent's POV-
The next day...
It was about afternoon when we started again, this time I am training them on how to handle Assault Rifles. We still had eaten our lunch before we could continue their lessons, it will be a long time to train them in handling AR's. But I will do my best to tech then properly. Other than that, they were happy to take the gun lessons that I teached them, I even heard that they will carry this skill up to their lifetime!
We are still on the kitchen table, sitting down next to each other and eating our meal, we talked about the training that I will deal to them. They are ready anytime to teach them for the AR part, we startes our conversation later on.
"So, when do we start the Assualt Rifle section? My finger is really ready to pull the trigger! ", Sairo exclaimed, as he rubs his hands happily and cracked a smile, the rest gave out a chuckle and swallowed my food inside my mouth and spoke.
"Just be easy Sairo, we will start after this lunch. Just don't rush, we will get there", I replied, as I grinned and ate down another spoon of my meal. Sairo chuckled and did the same.
"We could skip this lunch if you want. I am always ready", Nafie utters, as he banged the table in moderate fashion and shook our plates a little. We all looked at him amd let out a grin, I shook my head sarcastically and drunk my glass of water.
"Gods, you all should be easy. I will train you all after this meal", I repeated at Nafie, as I grinned and took another spoonful of my food
"Gods! They are all in hurry!", Christopher commented, as we all let out a laugh and continued our food. Several minutes had passed, we finally finished our lunch, as we placed all of our plates in the sink and finally came to the armory. We had strapped in our holsters and reloaded our guns, we had our earpieces on our neck just in case on using it. As I started the section of Assault Rifles, I stood still in front of the three men.
"Welcome, to the AR session, ", I boomed, as they made a small smile as they were happy to learn the AR section, "The Assault Rifle session will be longer time consumed than the pistol session. AR's are a little hard to master, but once you learned it all, I'll promise you, all of you will be sharpshooters", I added, as they were excited to practice the session. I didn't dillydallied and started the session quickly. I grabbed my HK416 from the shelf and slid the empty magazine on its slot,
"So in using AR's, it will be different from handling pistols, but it has some similarities in the pistol, like some of the postures and the reloads", I started, as they listened carefully and remembers every single step I mentioned.
"In handling rifles, you should rest the stock on front of your shoulder", I said, as I rested the butt stock on front of my shoulder and faced the life sized target in demonstration, "Then hold the near end of the gun like this", I ordered, as I put my left hand on the near end of my rifle, I placed my hand in the shape of the barrel, gaining a good grip onto it. My thumb was on the left side while the rest of fingers was on the other. I gained a good grip on the barrel which I shown them the proper postion. They observed every move I made and remembered it.
"Remember, if your guns is loaded, you should remove your finger from the trigger, you should rest it near the mag release, which is this button near my finger now. This will also help you to reload your gun more faster. ", I instructed, as I shook my index finger to point the button which is the mag release, after that, I rested my finger gently near the mag release.
"In reloading your rifle, you should push the mag release and the mag will just fall down, ready to insert another mag in the slot. You should push the button on the other side which releases the coil inside, ready to shoot", I uttered at them, as I showed them the button on the other side by turning the rifle upside down which exposes the button, I pointed my finger at it so they could see which could point.
"But wait, there is an exception to this, Nafie's AK74 has no button like this, even the mag release, there is an exposed metal in the rear back of the magazine which removes it", I turned to Nafie, "So if you ran out of bullets you push the mag release near the mag and put another, pull the slide release and you're ready to go", I said, as Nafie checked his rifle and found the charging handle and pulled it, sending the charging handle back in signaling that there is no bullets at the magazine. He pulled it again to its propwr postion.
"So, we should practice your reloads, go at your target counters and let me observe your reloads, remember what I taught you, push the mag button and slide down another mag, push the release button to insert a bullet in the chamber snd you're good to shot again. You could pull the trigger single time and try to reload again, like all I said earlier", I finished as I went to the side of them which Ibcould overview their moves as they started to practice the reloads. They were a little fast in reloading which gained their advantage in tactical shooting, after minutes of practicing, I halted them to explain their moves.
"Okay, that's enough, ", as they finally stopped in reloding and faced me seriously, "You did excellent, but you should still practice more to master an smooth reload", I said to them, as they clapped their hands and whooped loudly, I let put a grin because they had learned real quick, they are doing well I admit.
"So, let's go to shooting", As I said that sentence they furrowed their eyebrows at me and same time smiled, they loaded their weapons with designated calibers without me, they know how to load bullets in magazines. I let out a chuckle in astonishment, as they finished loading their magazines and put it back to their slots. They came back to their target counters as they held their guns in front of them.
"Wow that was quick. Okay then, let's move on", I implied, as I finally put my earpiece on, while the other followed.
"Like on pistols, you should align the rear and front sights, making it surely pointed to the target, you should also lean a little at front to prevent the power of your gun from penetrating you, rest your cheek at the top of the stock gently", I instructed, as I raised my gun and did what I said on the sentence, I leaned forward in a puny distance as I aimed down sight. They followed me and lowered my rifle looking at them.
"Okay, ready, set, Go! ", I shouted at the so they can hear even though they had their earpiece on, they fired their rifles and heard the gunshots. The flash of their rifle brightly shone on my eye, as they didn't blink even though the rifle was loud. After ten seconds, they had ran out of bullets and reloaded the way I thought them, they pulled a magazine from their holster and quickly shove it towards the mag slot then fired again, they didn't move their rifle upward due to the fact that they had a good grip on the barrel and rest on the butt stock. After seconds of firing their rifles, the gun finally ran out of bullets, the three men panted heavily, I went near them slowly as I clapped my hands.
"Very excellent work people, you should continue that until we show it to Dennis and Dusty, I am proud of you guys", I said at them, they clapped their hands again and whooped loudly. We all hugged each other for a minute, as we finished, we finally put back the guns on the shelves and finally went up.
'I am very proud of those guys, having friends is really amazing, even though they are naught at some point, but when you teach them in a serious mode, they will comply. I am so proud of you guys', I thought, as I smiled at them happily and proudly, a single tear rolled on my cheek. I wiped it with my shirt's sleeve, as I finally went to my bedroom to rest first, as a thought crossed my mind.
"I wonder what Dennis and Dusty had been doing right now", I mumbled.
