68. The Exploration (Part 1) - [A 1K Milestone special]

(The picture above is not completed yet, so I will add the Liquid Napalm Canisters on some statements, and please do not argue if I changed some dimensions on my layout :-) )

As I snapped awake from my dream, I was sweating again, panting and fast breathing consumed me. I jolted my body causing to sit myself upright, I did also almost brought my pistol out, holding it on my left hand.

I looked around if I saw anyoke who was sneaking up on us, there were no shadow figures that resembles a man or a human-like figure outside of our huge tent. I slowed my breathing to calm myself, I drew a huge breath towards myself.

I glanced at my wath to see what time is it, the time was 2:30 AM in the morning, in a dead of night. I looked at the boys and saw them that they are still sleeping, I placed my pistol back to its holster and rested myself for a while.

I did still remember that dream that Hiccup told me on the Dragon Island, he said that there is a city that could be located 130 miles east from here. I gave a sigh at myself and started to think about somehing, I also remevered that I would build a new prototype for the Dragon Blade.

Without  hesitation, I walked towards my sling bag and grabbed my empty notebook and my pencil. I drew a layout of the blade first, the main blade was like some regular swords, but I only emptied the center-part of the main blade for better aerodynamics. The blade was mainly built by Grade 4 Titanium*, if I would suggest myself.

The blade type is a double-sided blade, which means every side of it has a sharp blade. I drew a pointed tip at the end of the main blade for easy impaling. A little serrated blades located on below the blades, can be like a saw for some moment. Some more little holse above it for the aerodynamics also.

The pointed tip also has some sharp tooth blades on the center hold, for better penetrating on the flesh. There are also a slot for Liquid Napalm Canisters, that would be located inside handle just beside where the retractable dagger is located. The total length of the whole sword is 30 inches, the handle is 7 while the main blade is 21 inches.

A 4.6 inch dagger which retracts on behind the handle, a lever on the handle also triggers the retractable dagger to come out. To be correct, the dagger itself acts like an OTF knife, a tactical knife to be simple. That would come in hand also if someone suddenly attacked me from behind.

That dagger also has the same characteristics like on the blade, open center for aerodynamics, sharp tooth blades on the center hold and the material is Titanium. As I finally noted all the characteristics on my sword I finally raised my notebook above and I smiled at it. Knowing that I would finally build another Dragon Blade dedicated to Hiccup.

I chuckled at myself and finaly put the pencil inside it and closed my notebook, I placed my notebook back inside the bag and I went towards the tents door. I grabbed my holster and strapped it in my waist, I also picked my rifle on one side of the tent's wall and went after the door.

As I finally arrived in front of the door, I unzipped the tent's door open and slowly walked outside. I know that it was dead of night, but I showed no fear in facing the unknown, hostile, greedy, creatures that may lurk in the shadows. I cocked my head around to see if there is any creatures that may be hiding in the bushes.

But I didn't hear any movements at that time so I didn't bulge, I stared at the wood where I had been plunged into when we struck the ground yesterday. I just did remember that thing where I dislocated my wing as I struck the ground, very painful though.
