I went home with a heavy heart that day. Watching the night sky in my room's veranda while drinking beer was a perfect combo as I process my thoughts. Beer was my only companion that night.

Days after, I asked Joshua and Chris to join me in buying some school supplies at the mall. And like the usual, Chris refused because he will do it with Jane. Sila lang talaga 'yung naisipan kong ayain kasi nagsasawa na rin ako sa mga pagmumukha ng mga pinsan ko.

And in just a blink of an eye, the academic year was about to start.

Sinilip ko muna 'yung classroom dahil baka meron ng prof kasi nakasara ang mga pinto. Medyo kinakabahan ako kasi first day ngayon tapos late ako. Ang pangit ng magiging first impression sakin ng prof ko sa unang klase ko. Pero buti na lang ay nakita kaagad ako ni Joshua na nasa loob na.

"Come in!" Joshua mouthed to me. I nodded.

That means wala pang prof. Pinili kong sa likod na pinto dumaan dahil ayokong mapansin ako ng mga kaklase ko kung sa harap ako dadaan.

"Bakit kasi nakasara iyong mga pinto?" bungad na tanong ko kina Joshua. "Akala ko tuloy late na ako."

Tinuro naman ni Joshua iyong mga babaeng nakaupo sa unang row. "Ewan ko diyan sa mga iyan," he answered. Tumango na lang ako.

Napatingin naman ako kay Chris na busy sa pagce-cellphone. "Hey, bro. Musta?" I asked.

"I'm fine..." he answered, didn't even bother to give me a glance.

"Some small fight with Jane," Joshua whispered to my ear. This dude really knows everything in our personal lives.

I was about to talk about some random things but the prof came. Oh great. Mas late pa pala siya kesa sa akin.

She introduced herself to us first. Buti na lang hindi na namin kailangang magpakilala in front because she required us to write our name and section. Not surprisingly, she shuffled the index cards for our first ever recorded recitation in this academic year. Of course we're not surprised! Almost all of the professors here in SPU ay nagpapa-recitation kaagad sa first meeting.

When lunch break came, sa caf kami kumain. Mamaya naman pagkatapos ng schedule ko ay didiretso ako sa bahay.

I'm just gonna do my usual things, except Cia. So it's gonna be a Bahay-School-Band routine for me.

Before kasi, we used to eat lunch together, we used to study together at the library, and we used to go to school together. But I think, I didn't have to do all of that. She said I'm not even her boyfriend! She slapped me with that truth real hard! So I am planning to put a line between us. To protect my heart from breaking... As if my heart is still intact.

Pagdating ko sa bahay ay dumiretso lang ako sa aking kwarto. Nagugutom ako at naiisipan kong magluto ng makakain pero mas gusto ng katawan ko ang magpahinga. Ang ending, nagpa-deliver na lang ako ng chicken wings at pizza.

Bumungad naman agad sa akin ang usapan ng bandmates ko sa group chat namin nang mag-online ako sa Messenger.

Ser Marlon: We will have a meeting tomorrow at 5 pm. Studio. Are you all free that time?

Bryant: im free coach
