Chapter 31

I was taking Tita Zel's heartfelt advices seriously. But, I just can't find enough reasons to give up. And, I've already come this far, I want to see things through.

I'm thinking of something I could do today. Ang boring sa apartment. 'Di ko naman ma-contact si Cia—which was because I literally lost contact with her. Tapos ayoko namang tumambay sa school. Um-absent nga lang ako ngayon, e. Ewan ko ba.

I really don't feel like attending my classes.

I wasn't motivated to study.

I know I'm taking things for granted because I was fully-aware that there were some kids out there who can't afford to study, and here I am... trying to trace my steps and act like a normal human being.

It all began when Ms. Karla messed up with my life. I was literally feeling like when Cia left, she took my heart and happiness with her.

I am so close to being lost... again.

I got bored in my apartment so I decided to take a walk around the park with Ses. And she was so happy because she was able to run freely. Pero nung masyado nang malayo 'yung mga pinupuntahan niya, I had to tail her because I'm afraid I might lose her.

After spending few hours at the park, I thought of going to Tito Danilo's house.

I was carrying Ses in my arms while talking to the guard. Thankfully, behave lang naman siya. Napagod siguro sa kaka-takbo kanina. Unfortunately, Tito Danilo wasn't here. Pero nandito naman si Tita Camila, kaya siya na lang ang kukulitin ko.

"H-Hi, Tita," I greeted her, slightly nervous. Her forehead automatically creased before arching her brow. She was looking down to my puppy who was in my arms.

"You literally brought a puppy here?" she asked, instead.

I laughed nervously. "She will not have someone to look after her so I just decided to bring her with me. Uh, are you not comfortable with her, Tita?"

"No, it's okay," she quickly replied while shaking her hands.

"O-Okay." I tried to show her a smile, at least.

"I'm sorry for the reaction. You bringing a puppy here surprised me a bit." Tita laughed so that eased up the tension I was feeling.

"That's okay, Tita."

"Anyways, do you want to eat something? Are you feeling hungry?"

"No, thanks, Tita. I'm fine." I smiled.

She led me to their living room, instead. "How are you nga pala, hijo? We didn't see each other for a long while now. Kumusta ang buhay?" she casually asked while we're walking towards their sofa, agad na umawang ang labi ko. She made it sound like she was expecting me to be okay despite of what happened to Cia and I.

Seriously?

"Tita, are you also involved with what happened to Cia?" I asked back, instead of giving her a false answer.
