Vacation is always after the final exams. And it's also the time for de-stressing! I tried to wake up as early as I could because I want to go out for a run.

"Oh, what are you doing here?" I asked.

Cia's sitting alone in the couch while doing something with her phone. And based on her outfit, mukhang may gym session silang dalawa ni Cassy ngayon.

"I'm waiting for Cassy."

"To wake up?"

She laughed. "Most probably..."

"You're going to gym together?"

"Yeah. Ikaw? Same plans?"

I nodded. "Anyway, I think Cassy won't make it. Sobrang late na 'yun umuwi kahapon."

She quickly stood up. "Ah sige, uuwi na lang ako." She smiled as she turned her back on me.

"Wait. You can go with me..."

She stopped. She turned around to look at me.

"Really?" I nodded. "Okay. Para hindi na rin sayang 'yung effort ko sa pagpunta dito."

"But instead of gym, we'll go for a run, okay?"

"Oh, okay. That's way better naman."

We started running through the streets of our village. My plan was to stop in the park that I know to have breakfast. I'm sure she will enjoy this.

"So... how are you?" I asked, starting a conversation while running.

"I'm feeling way better than before. Thanks, ah!" She smiled at me.

"You know, working out is really one of the best way to de-stress."

"Yeah! I also workout when I feel sad. And it's super helpful! Feeling ko nailalabas ko lahat ng negativity sa pagkatao ko," she replied.

"Wow, that's good for you ah."

It's nice to hear from her that she's prioritizing her health. It's a big thumbs up!

"Kainis lang talaga kasi minsan hindi natutuloy 'yung session namin ni Cassy katulad ngayon."

I chuckled. "Well, if that's the case, I can be your gym buddy." I winked at her.

Kumunot kaagad ang noo niya. "Baka magalit si Cassy."

"Hindi 'yun. Ako bahala sa iyo," I said, wiggling my brows.

Upon getting through the park, I purposely bought lugaw for the both of us. It's very fulfilling because there's a spark on Cia's eyes again. And I love to see that...

"Gusto mo ba talagang magkaroon ng World War III?" tanong ko habang napapailing sa ginagawa niya. Kanina niya pa kasi gustong paglaruin 'yung alaga niyang aso tsaka iyong pusang nakita naming pagala gala. Nandito kasi kami ulit sa park. Bumalik kaming dalawa kasi nakaka-boring na talaga sa loob ng bahay!

"What? I'm trying to spread out the world peace here!" Cia replied.

My forehead automatically creased to what she had said. "May world peace ba?"

"Ewan ko sa iyo! I just want them to be friends! Puro aso kasi 'yung friends ni Turbo..."

I chuckled. "Good luck sa mission mo."
