I tried my best to focus more on studying. I tried to look on my book only. But my eyes keep on staring at the girl who was in front of me. I watched her every move. She's too serious in reading her novel book that I kind of remembered my mom. I'd seen her so many times before while seriously reading her favorite book.

My heart suddenly sank.

I miss you, mom. So much. I love you.

"Spending a life with such regret sucks..." she whispered out of nowhere. I looked at her again. I was trying so hard to stop paying attention to her but damn! She just whispered my mom's favorite quote from her favorite novel book.

Dahil sa babaeng ito mas lalo kong nami-miss si Mama.

At dahil hindi ko na rin maibalik ang atensyon ko sa mga binabasa ko, naisipan kong kausapin siya. But what if she ignored me? Pero hindi naman siguro...

"Uhm, is that a good book?" I asked. I didn't know why I asked her that question. Tahimik akong nagdadasal na sana ay sumagot siya sa tanong ko. She already caught so much of my attention kaya dapat lang na pansinin niya ako.

She looked at me. I caught her attention. "Super! Ilang ulit ko na itong nabasa!" she replied.

"Really? Nabasa ko na rin iyang libro na iyan." I smiled at her while nodding my head.

Mabilis na nanlaki ang mga mata niya sa sinabi ko. So she started to ask me questions. Katulad ng opinyon ko tungkol sa story at kung anu ano pa.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Ang daldal ko masyado, hindi ka na tuloy nakapag-aral." She laughed. I wrinkled my nose. Ang cute niya.

"No, it's okay." I smiled at her. Now, I realized that it's kind of weird talking to someone you don't even know. I don't even know her name. Tanungin ko na lang kaya siya? Wala namang masamang magtanong... "Uhm... What's your name—"

"Gab!" Joshua called me out of nowhere. He's with Chris. They're walking towards me.

At dahil isinigaw nga ni Joshua iyong pangalan ko sa buong library, napagalitan siya ng librarian. Ang lakas kasi ng boses e alam namang nasa library siya.

Tinapik ni Joshua ang balikat ko nang makalapit sila sa akin. They have that annoying smile on their faces. "Congrats, bro!" he said.

"Thanks?" I replied.

I don't know what to say. They just basically appeared out of nowhere tapos halatang curious sila kung sino itong babaeng kasama ko. Malalaman ko na kasi sana iyong pangalan niya kung hindi lang sila umepal.

"Uhm, I guess I needed to go," the girl said while standing up. She quickly hold her book and waved at us. "Bye! It's nice talking to you!" she continued while looking at me. She left us after that.

Joshua annoyingly cleared his throat. Tumingin ako saglit sa kanya saka ko binagsak ang paningin ko sa binabasa ko kanina.

"Who was that?" Chris asked.

"Nakiupo lang." I shrugged my shoulders.

"Did you talk?" Chris asked.

I creased my forehead as I looked at them. "Of course? Ang weird mo magtanong," I answered.

"Si Joshua kasi, e. Biglang nagyayang puntahan ka namin dito. Ano bang meron?" Chris asked Joshua.

"Oo nga? Bakit kayo pumunta dito? Akala ko ba kita na lang tayo sa room?" tanong ko rin kay Joshua.
