As what I've said, I attended Alvin's birthday party wearing a mascot of one of the cartoon character in the cartoon show entitled We Bare Bears. For this day, I am Ice Bear.

"You really do whatever the heck you say, huh," said Cia, trying so hard to hold her laugh.

"Yeah... look at Alvin! He's so happy today," I replied.

"Well, thanks to you for wearing a mascot of his favorite cartoon character," she responded.

I crossed my arms and smiled widely. "You're welcome, Madam," I said with some teasing in my tone.

"Uh, anyway, where did you get that mascot?"

I stood straight before looking at what I was wearing. "This?" I asked, she nodded. "Val got me," I continued, shrugging.

"Oh... okay," she replied and then minutes after, her smile fell off as she kept mum.

"Hey, everything's alright?"

"Uh, yeah. Of course." And then she forced a smile.

"Hey, guys! How's the party going?" asked Val upon arriving, and then she draped her arm on my shoulder.

Hilaw na ngumiti si Cia. "Alvin's having fun. I'm really thankful to Gab for doing this for my son," she answered.

Val shook her hands. "No problem. We got you!" she replied, smiling widely.

"Uh, I'm gonna leave the two of you. I just need to check something," said Cia.

I showed a smile. "Yeah, sure," I responded and then she quickly walked away. Huh. She's acting up all weird. "Hey, do I look good with this mascot?" I asked Val instead while having a full blown crease on my forehead.

Val laughed hysterically and heck, it just annoyed the shit out of me. Why did I even think about asking her that! "Oh, dude, you are so cute! Didn't know Ice Bear would perfectly suit you," she answered, still laughing hardly.

"Forget that I asked. You're annoying me."

"Oh, come on! Wala namang mali sa sinabi ko ah! Magtatanong ka tapos maiinis ka?"

"Can you just... just stop being so annoying?"

"You're lucky you're a guy. Because if not... I'll probably think you're having your monthly period."

"Val, please? Please stop pissing me already!" I let out a very deep groan because Val's being so naughty as ever.

"Whatever," she said, and that was what made me heave a sigh of relief. "But, take a look at Cia," she spoke, and I averted my gaze to Cia, who was sitting alone while watching Alvin. "Did the two of you fight? She seems off," Val continued.

"We didn't fight... well actually, I also noticed the sudden change of her mood earlier," I replied, continuously gazing at Cia from afar.

"Really? Ano bang pinag-usapan niyo?"

I now fastened my eyes to my friend. "We were talking about my mascot. I also told her that you were the one who got this for me. And... that was when I noticed that she was acting different," I explained, to which made her arch her brow.

"Wait... was she jealous of me?" Val queried, laughing shortly.

Right after she threw that question to me, I suddenly felt the beads of sweat all over my forehead. I scoffed. "Sa itsura mong 'yan, di 'yun magseselos sa 'yo, 'no," I said and I immediately received a kick on my stomach.
