33: Still with the chaos

I was frozen in my spot while looking at chairman as she holds her gun and shoots the enemies trying to get near me. Kung hindi pa ako hinila ni Blake paalis ay hindi ako gagalaw. Ngunit habang hinihila ako ni Blake paalis ay baka nakatulala pa din ako. Hindi ko mapigilang hindi lumingon pabalik kay chairman.

"Blake!" sigaw ni Chairman. Huminto kami at lumingin. May pinadulas itong baril papunta kay Blake. Nakuha ito nito Blake at parang may pinag-uusapan sila gamit ang mga mata nila. Okay? Tumango lang si Blake at hinila na ako palayo sa event hall.

Gusto ko sanang tanungin si Blake kaya lang ay busy ito sa pagbaril ng mga kalaban na papalapit sa amin. Every time he shots a bullet on their heads it makes my knees wobble. My grip on his arm loosens.

"Blake..." I called him. He looked back at me with worry in his eyes.

"Why? Are you hurt?" he askes. I shook my head as an answer. Nasa loob kami ng isa sa mga kwarto rito sa may third floor ng hotel na pinagdausan ng party. Nasa fourth floor kasi ang event hall nila at nahihirapan kaming iwasan ang mga lalaking hunahabol sa akin. I also told Blake not to shoot them on their heads just somewhere non vital.

I'm not a fan of violence  Ayoko ng nananakit. Ayoko ng nakakakita ng ganon. Kahit inaway ko si Cami noon.

"When did you learn how to shoot?" takang tanong ko kay Blake. Hindi siya kaagad nakasagot. I doubt he is a beginner. The way he shoot them, the way he moves while pointing the gun or how he could shoot them bullseye. It sucks when I thought I know him inside out but it turns out the opposite. I don't really know If I know him enough or he's still a mystery to me.

"Alice." I bit my lower lip when he couldn't give me an answer. Naiiyak ako sa inis. Pisti. Nakaka bwisit. Akala ko kilala ko na siya. Akala ko alam ko na lahat ng tungkol sa kanya. Parang bigla nauwi sa wala ang seven months na pinagsamahan namin. Paano kung nagsisinungaling lang pala siya? Paano kung walang totoo sa lahat ng pinakita niya? Anong gagawin ko kung ganon?

"Blake, may hindi ka pa ba sinasabi sa akin?" I eyed suspiciously.

"Whatever it is. Hindi ko sinabi sayo kasi alam kong hindi ito makabubuti para sayo. Ayokong mapahamak ka kapag sinabi ko sayo ang lahat. Just trust me, Alice. I will never hurt you." he said looking at me as if I was some kind of treasure for him. Trust. The foundation if all relationships. He promised not to keep secrets. But sometimes we really need to keep secrets in order to protect someone we love. And I trust Blake, sometimes we need to take a leap of faith and trust the person we love.

"I know. I'm just sad because you shot them because of me. Sorry to drag you in this mess." I said almost inaudible.

"I would be forever grateful that you drag me with you. Come here, baby." he ordered me to move closer to him. I moved closer and felt his warm embrace.

"We'll get out of this mess." he said and kissed the top of my head. I nodded. Nang makapagpahinga saglit si Blake ay dahan dahan kaming lumabas ng silid. Sakto naman at walang nagkalat na mga lalaki sa corridor ng third floor. Dahan dahan ang paglakad namin to the point we couldn't even hear our footsteps.

"Find the girl! Hindi tayo pwedeng umalis ng hindi siya kasama!" galing sa likuran namin ang sigaw. So they really need me huh? Blaze's right about the experiment on me. Tsk! Hindi ako papahuli ng buhay. Mas bibilisan namin ang paglalakad para makababa mg second floor. Hindi ko rin kasi alam kung ilan pa ang bala na meron ang baril na hawak ni Blake. Mas mahihirapan kami kung mauubusan kami ng bala dahil sa naglalakihang mga baril na dala ng mga kalaban namin. Talo kami kapag naabutan nila kami. Sana ayos lang sina Bridgette at Varron. I don't think Varron is the fighter type but I hope he will protect my best friend. Also Dad, matanda na ang isang yun tsaka di ko alam kung marunong ba yung humawak man lang ng baril. Parang siya pa nga ang babae sa aming dalawa dahil sa hinhin nito.
