36: Not a fairytale

Time really flies so fast. Dalawang buwan nalang at gagraduate na kami. Two months and we'll enter college. Two months and we will start to build our future.

Kasama ko si Blake na nandito sa bahay nila. We are supposed to celebrate our seventh month but we ended up on thinking what to do. Dad allowed me to sleep here in their house. Tuwang tuwa pa nga si ate Blaire eh. Aagahan niya daw ang pag-uwi mamaya tapos tabi daw kami matulog. Pinaninindigan niya talaga ang pagiging older sister niya sa akin. Protective ito sa akin mula sa kapatid niya.

"Aagawin ka nanaman ni Blaire sa akin mamaya. Should we just check on a hotel?" pinalo ko ang braso nito dahil sa sinabi niyang iyon. Adik talaga to!

"Yari ka kay dad sige ka." I threatened him but he just laughed it off. Aba, hindi na siya natatakot kay dad ah. Confidence level 1000. Di ko abot.

"Joke lang, babe." sabi nito at hinawakan ang kamay ko at pinag-siklop iyon. Nakaupo kami sa sofa sa sala habang nanonood ng kdrama series. It's really a boring day but being here with Blake on my side is enough to make it a brighter one. Habang tutok na tutok ako sa tv screen ay siya namang panay subo sa akin ni Blake ng hawak niyang isang piraso ng fries. Pinagluto kasi kami ni manang ng fries habang nanonood kami.

"How's Bridgette?" tanong ni Blake.

"She's doing good. Parang hindi nga umiyak sa loob ng isang buwan eh." sagot ko. She's really moving on. I'm proud of her. She's really right that the only person that can fix you is the same person who hurt you. I'm gad that she's happy now. She'll always be the spoiled brat I love.

"That's good. At least hindi ka na mag-aalala kay Bridge." tumango ako. Siya kasi ang kasama ko sa isang buwan na pagmumukmok ni Bridge. Hindi niya ako iniwan sa mga panahon na iyak ako ng iyak kasi wala akong magawa para sa kaibigan ko. He's there to cheer me up. He is there to hush me and put me to sleep. Really, I'm lucky to have this guy by my side.

"Thank you, babe." I kissed his cheek and went back to watching. We finished two series before eating lunch. Ang daming niluto ni manang. May chicken curry, mushroom soup, roasted chicken and sausages. As usual, si Blake ang naglalagay ng pagkain sa plato ko.

"Kain na." nakangiting sabi nito. I smiled back and started eating. Matapos kumain ay napagpasyahan namin namin na lumabas at maglakad lakad sa park na malapit sa bahay nila. Pagkadating namin sa park ay umupo kami sa bench na nakaharap sa malaking fountain ng park.

"What are you going to do after college?" I was always the one to open up this topic. I'm the type of perdon who is really bothered by the future. So much question about the future.

"Maybe work. I'll work for ten yeas then if I earned enough money then I'll settle down." nakangiting sabi nito.

"And who will you settle down with?" inosenteng tanong ko kay Blake. Natawa ito at marahang kinurot ang pisngi ko.

"Of course, my Alice." kinikilig ako hayup. I bit my lower lip to stop myself from smiling. Parang sure na sure na siya na ako na. Na parang planado na niya ang magiging buhay namin after college. I can't help but to love him more than I do.

"Are you sure it's me? We can't predict the future, Blake. What if we'll get tired of each other after college?" I really hate this pessimist side of me. Pero hindi naman kasi pwedeng lagi kang optimistic. Dapat laging balance. Kaya nga mayroong angels and demons eh, ginawa sila para magkaroon ng balance ang mundo natin.

"If it's not you then it's not worth it anymore." he pouted a little and it made me laugh. He never fails to make me smile and laugh. He's my happy pill.
